If you're looking for a discount, you're in the wrong place. What SOGO does provide is a mall-type shopping experience atmosphere that is clean and extremely well-lit with a variety of brand name clothes (among other items). The prices here are similar to those in North America and the selection is similar, though not identical. If you're looking to pick up some brand name threads and aren't afraid of the price, this is the place to go!As a bonus, it's located downtown amidst a ton of other smaller shops and restaurants, so when you're finished at SOGO, you won't be at a loss for where to go next.

Sogo is getting lonelier these days because of Fe21 Mega, and Big City. It is still a good place for shopping at mid to high range shops. At closing time there is this weird goodbye committee comprised of the workers at the shops that bow and say something (probably goodbye) in Japanese as you head for the descending escalator.

新竹火車駅（立占）からすぐ右手に見えます。　暑い日に一歩その敷地内に足を踏み入れると冷え冷えのエアコンに迎え入れて貰えます。　12階だったかにも日本料理レストランがいくつか、地下にも洋風と言うか日式と言うかカフェとかがあります。私はここの地下のパン屋が好きです。　脂っこい食事に疲れた時に行くとホッとします。
