the world famous decades bar

Hi just had 6 weeks holiday in Goa,and have now been to Decades for 3 years since it opened ..Jackie & Brad are great hosts ,always there when it gets lively ,and that happens most nights.They have a varied entertainment list from karaoke ( Val ) to a blues and Detroit music oh and I nearly forgot BINGO ,not my thing but 40/50 people turn up.Yes great place too unwind see you next year Jackie& Brad

Decades Bar is brilliant the couple that run it are lovely Jackie and Brad they make you feel so welcome .Any one that goes to Goa must pay a visit the entertainment, food and the atmosphere is excellent. We went on many occasions each time we had a great night ,Thursday night was karaoke with irish Val who is a fab singer and has a great personality, she puts you at ease if you have a go at singing you don't have to be good to have a go just enjoy yourself its all part of your holiday. They also have live bands and soul nights also bingo on sat afternoon. If you get a chance pay a visit

Took my wife to decades bar for are anniversary + jackie + brad from the bar looked after us got us flowers + balloons the atmosphere the singer the music. Fantastic lovely people can't wait to go next year tell all my friends about it

Decades bar is run by Brad and Jackie, Who are both wonderful hosts, they take time to welcome everybody into there establishment and make a point of talking to and getting customer feedback.Brad keeps an eye out on what is being served and will make sure your meal is just right.The cabarets that are on in Decades are great .Neal the bar man is very nice and eager to serve .Overall a very good experience.

Great service. And entertainment. Had a great night and met some lovely people. Chris Simmons on guitar brilliant. What more could you want.

Just returned from holiday in Goa as always every aspect of the holiday reaches its expectations, Decades bar is fabulous the food is excellant, the butter chicken is a must!!!!! as is the entertainment, we espically enjoy the karaoke nights, for the first time this year we experienced the Saturday afternoon bingo this was great and we will definately do this again next season. The hosts Jackie & Brad are a brilliant couple, you just have to visist this bar next tim you are in Goa

DECADES GREAT NIGHT OUT ON A MON/TUES, monday night there is a live band almost famous do covers of popular songs there's a GREAT crowd and every 1 gets up and has a dance, tuesday night they had a motown singer she was very very good same as monday night a good crowd and a good dance , i think thursday was karaoke this yearfood is very good i hav'nt had a bad meal there the service is very good considering how packed it is on a mon/tues you must book A TABLE BUT IVE BEEN THERE WITH 2 OF USE AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS FOUND ME A table if you go u wont be disapointed A fantastic night out in goa........

All the reviews about the decades bar had gotten me extremely excited and this was a place I was looking forward to. I cannot really say that I was as impressed as I expected to be, but the experience was really good nonetheless.The bar is located on the left hand side of the main road while heading to Anjuna/Vagator from Calangute. It is approximately a five minutes drive from Baga/Calangute. The location on the main road is a bit of bummer because you have vehicles whizzing by all day and the consequent honking and noise does its bit to spoil the ambience.The food that I had however, was amazing. The burgers are amongst the best I've had anywhere in the country and the calamari(squid) was made nicely as well. The alcohol was affordably priced too. They have a pool table and I spent a bit of time playing. It was a quiet monday night, and save for a couple of tables, the bar was empty. The manager of the restaurant joined me for a game and ensured that my order was served at the pool table itself. Another thing I liked about the place is that the music they played had a lot of classic/psychedelic rock - Pink Floyd, The Beatles, U2, Coldplay etc. This kind of made up for the noise from the road.The one thing that did not impress me too much is that their menu was nothing but a few printed sheets of papers. In fact, I ordered a bottle of wine from a menu that quoted the price at Rs. 200. But on asking for the menu, to make a different order later, I was given one saying the bottle was priced at Rs. 300. On enquiring, they told me that they had mistakenly given me a previous version of the menu. Something similar happened when I ordered two rounds of Bailey's. Also though the bar is open till 1:30ish, the kitchen closes around midnight, so you'd want to make your food orders early.Though a part of me wants to give an average rating, I think that will be a little too harsh considering that the food and the service were extremely good and the pool table a lot of fun if you are looking at some banter with your friends. Worth a try. Maybe two, specially if you are on a longish trip and are looking at a break from the seafood.

Love this place best bar and restaurant in goa. Friendly welcoming staff always up for a laugh. Delicious food great prices and entertainment brilliant different every night. Would highly recommend to anyone xx

Am writing this from the bar itself first time here and heard about the bar on the beach and gave come down for the karaoke nite really good all English people in the bar food is fair and not to expensive will defiantly visit again in the 6 weeks I am here

Think that they have got their act together,after last year...Only had burger and chips to be on the safe side and it was alright...the place was pretty full..but not as full as last time..burger took about 1/2 hour to come,but was chatting and listening to a great band.."Almost Famous"..Really worth seeing..Ordered drinks off the waiter to no avail and had top go to the bar each time..but i need the exercise...Also didn't here anyone complain about the food..as lots did last time...so a much better review...

Great bar, with great food, great atmosphere, just get there, its great. pool area, great hosts in jackie and brad being evertonians.
