Good fun, learning about the history of this famous beer.Although most of the exhibits are in Japanese but you can figure out what it's saying and follow the flow of the place.Very helpful staff to help you along as well as take pictures. The beer tasting at the end is the best and really had a good time. There's a small garden and also shops outside and restaurants that's we've Bbq and of course, beer!Definitely worth a visit.
The all-you-can-eat lamb and veggie dinner was a lot of fun. You can do just the food for only ¥2800/person - the all-you-can-drink beer option is only worth it if you will drink more than a liter of beer and we weren't feeling that crazy. Clothes definitely smelled afterwards so try to air them out or do a load of laundry!
Walk through the museum to glance through the history of Sapporo beer but because most things are in Japanese you might not get as much out of it unless there is an English tour. The highlight no doubt was at the end when you are directed to the shop and beer tasting area. Very reasonable prices at around JPY200 per glass. We also picked up snacks like the cheese and beer ice cream all of which were delicious. Right next o the museum is the beer garden which is a huge hall reminiscent of beer halls in Germany. We had lunch there and decided to try the Genkhis Khan lamb grill was was tasty. A good half day attraction for Sapporo.
We arrived around 6:30pm, meaning we had missed the tours (apparently only in Japanese anyway). We payed 3800yen for all you can eat GenghisKhan and all you can drink beer for 100minutes. The atmosphere was awesome and we all had the best night. Go with friends and an empty stomach!
An interesting place to visit and can learned about beer making process. The best collection of beer advertisements. You can test three types of beer at the museum for reasonable price. No need of any advance reservation. Very little explanations are available in English. However there is miniature beer factory, which explain process of beer production.
Did a tour of the brewery museum after a brisk mile walk from my hotel. Lovely old brick building, and attractive tasting room and gift shop. Then got to experience Jingisukan cooking. Here on business and made a nice break.
We went here while in Sapporo for the snow festival. We had a fantastic lunch in the bier garden, and then toured the museum. The architecture and layout of the museum was stunning.
