a nice Philippines church caracteristic of their style. A big triangular church and the bell towel in the side.
I been to a few churches throughout Philippines and find them each unique and interesting but this goes have a certain appeal . The colors inside and the architecture of the ceiling are nice . Church is one block from sinking bell tower and two blocks from monopoly tabaco museum and Loag sign just walking distance
A clean white exterior that holds no fancy and makes no false promises. Right in the heart of the city the cathedral is quite beautiful in an understated way. Opposite the sinking bell tower and sadly in the middle of the main town car park, but it is a quiet oasis with a beautiful interior and youare made welcome regardless of the day or whether a service is ongoing
Unlike some other Filipino Catholic Churches or Cathedrals, St William's has an understated exterior. The interior including the altar is large.Unlike some Churches on Panay Island, it did not quickly 'grab' me with its beauty but if I was a local resident I might be more imbued.
This cathedral is located near the Sinking Bell Tower and behind Mc Donald's. It's not as huge as other cathedrals but it offers a bit of history. It is a nice place to offer a prayer before embarking on an Ilocandia tour.
If you are a photo buff. Then better take a photo of the church while standing in the plaza. The blue dawn skies as the backdraft makes a perfect photo
It is a place that exudes history. It is an old structure that continues to stand strong providing a place for prayers.
This site was our next stopover after the Sinking Bell Tower, we just had some nice picture and that's it.
I like it bcoz its near to the senking bell and its big area and the architect who design it very amazing. What i dislike...bcoz of the huge area some beggars around and young partner not listening to the sermon it must be a sacred place to pray not a park.
Great place. Looks elegant in the middle of traffic and rushing people around. Another landmark to contribute the touristic Ilocos provinces.
when i'm new in the place, cathedral is a must visit in the place. glad to drop by this structure to see the beauty of its interior.
If you are doing a Visita Iglesia in Ilocos, I think St. William's Cathedral is a great place to start since it is very accessible.
I have been going to this church for years now and I have seen how they maintain it. Comparing it to when I was a kid, the roof is better now. There are more chairs, more speakers and more electric fans so it is more comfortable but there are still others who stands throughout the mass for the 5pm and 6pm masses. The features outside is better now also since they made repairs on some areas. Overall, it is more attractive for tourists than it was when I was still a kid
We visited just a little after mass, it is beautiful inside and out. Should visit if you're in the area visiting the Singking Bell as they are just across each other.
The Cathedral is one of the oldest and well preserved in the country. I was simply amazed and impressed, would love to go back again and hopefully attend a mass :-)
