The stairs going down to Bolinao Falls 1 was destroyed and the terrace that serves as spot for taking photos was also destroyed. If the city administration will give enough funds to improve the area, this will give them income and tourist will visit their place not only this falls but all the tourist attraction in the city.
The 1 hour travel by trike to Bolinao Falls along the rough road is seemed neverending. But once you get there, the view is breathtaking. They got lot of tourists here everyday, the entrance is Php40 and parking is Php15. The water is cold and very clear. It's fun to swim here and splash, just be careful the rocks are slippery.
government must develop the place and pick it as one of the most interesting places to visit Bolinao. Otherwise, there's nothing to do.
you should never miss this as it is around 45min from town , you have to pass thru rough roads to reach the place , water is so clean you can drink it
Recommended for group outings. A little far from the city proper and the road is not yet concrete but the long and bumpy travel was all worth it. We will definitely comeback
I'm quite in awe of the light blue hue of the water and the rock formations around the waters. The swimming depths vary, some areas you can stand, some you need a life vest (if you don't know how to swim!). But major improvements must be realized. The roads for one, should be organized (it's about an hour of dirt road trip from Bolinao town proper). Next is the cleanliness of the area should be well maintained. Guests tend to leave behind their garbage. You can rent huts for about 150 pesos and cook your own food. But this attraction is a very good place for photo-ops and is quite scenic.
It took my breath away when i saw the falls. Water is clear and it looks like paradise. We went here on a monday and we were the only one`s there for quite a while. However when we started swimming i noticed that there were few garbages left by the previous visitors. I hope the management will be more strict when it comes to maintenance and they might want to provide garbage cans so tourists wont leave their trashes. Tips: *we hired tricycle from ilog malino beach resort to bolinao falls. fare is 800 (roundtrip) *travel time is approx 2 hrs* cottage is P100* there are parts which were very deep and since we are not good swimmers we brought life vests with us. * you can rent floaters for 80 pesos ( the black thing that looks like a tire ) * no stores there so make sure to bring merienda and drinks * make sure to go there early and if possible on a weekday to avoid crowd.* no entrance fee * after bolinao falls you might want to do balingasay river cruise and eat at sungayan grill. :)0* floaters
I toured another group last Oct 2013 and their expectations has been satisfied though we have to slowly get there coz the road aren't concrete ones.Road must be concreted for safety as well. When we're almost there our back wheels are gliding coz it's slippery. Good thing our driver is one of the best.I toured another group last Oct 2013 and their expectations has been satisfied. The sound of the waves are refreshing. Perfect for groups with guitar while enjoying the clear blue sky. Clear water too and something new especially from guests in Manila where most are craving for beach. I'g go with Blinao Falls than Tara Falls.Love Ko Bolinao!Love Ko Bolinao!
It's a bit of a journey from Bolinao Town and even further from Patar Beach but it's worth the trip just to swim in the refreshing water.
The place is nice and relaxing but not very clean. You can go there if have car. No need to rent tricycle. It is very passable. We were advised by the people there not to bring our car so we rented a tricycle worth 200 but when we reached the falls, we realized that the road is very passable. People there fooled around to earn.
We passed by this Bolinao Falls 1 before heading to Puerto del Sol Beach Resort. About 15 min walk from the parking area will bring you to the falls. The place is clean, water is cold and inviting but be careful if you don't know how to swim. We enjoyed photo opportunities at Bolinao Falls 1. There's a toilet/comfort room where you can change your clothes. Come here with your family or friends and enjoy the cold water and fresh air at Bolinao Falls.
I didn't get the fall's name but I guess "Bolinao Falls 1" would do. :)It was a refreshing dip but the ground is rocky, Be careful of suddenly deep areas too.
The view is majestic. Many locals are there daily and you have to rent a cottage or you can just ask someone to hold your it #1 and #2. If you have kids with you then better go to #2. If you are travelling alone, then #1 is worth a try but most of the locals will recommend that you go to #2 because for them it's better. It's an hour drive from the strip of resorts so it is best to arrange transportation in advance or bring a car as the road is mostly uneven and dusty.
You'll reach the Brgy. Samang Norte first before reaching the Bolinao Town Proper if coming from Manila... Another 15-20 minutes ride from the left turn sign, pero from there wala na masyado signage kasi won't get lost naman kasi one way lang sya.. But upon reaching the falls..... oh my... it's really a paradise... a hidden paradise.... for a minimal fee... P20.00 for the parking fee and another P100.00 for the cottage and maintenance... regardless of how many you are...assisted by manong (super bait nya) gave us a free kakanin cooked in a bamboo trunk nung paalis na kami...maybe because for the free lunch we gave him.. but more of mabait talaga sya... and the falls itself... grabe ang sarap... would make you think..that there's still a place like that, that you could enjoy....
Water was clean and cool. we tried the water and it was refreshing. I truly like the palce.
