The Fort also known as Bonifacio Global City is a mixed use development...

The Bonifacio Global City (BGC) or fondly called The Fort is the best business district in the Philippines to date. World class and safe.

This is the same as Bonifacio Global City. If you're a tourist, it's not the 'real' Manila that you may expect - but it's a welcome oasis in the chaos & noise. It used to be an army base known as The Fort, but was sold to developers at least ten years ago. The developers added more land and renamed the whole zone as Bonifacio Global City. Taxi drivers use both names interchangeably. This is literally a new city that has been purpose-built with shopping malls, high-rise buildings and streets in a grid pattern. It's a microcosm of great cities around the World. For visitors it can seem a bit boring (see my review under the new name). Maybe by 2020 it will be a fascinating place and will exist in Tripadvisor as a city in its own right. However, rumour has it that Taguig City council is keen to hold on to this goldmine.

We are so happy to have chosen to live at The Fort. We find everything we need just a block away from our condominium. From the gym to all types of restaurants, shops, malls and there is the always colorful High Street. We enjoy strolling down on a Sunday afternoon and have a cup of coffee or ice cream in one of the many choices available for it. If you are ever in Manila, check it out, you will not be disappointed.

This overdeveloped (from the old days) area, is now a commercial hub for easy living or visiting. Close to Global offices, banks, etc with local and international brands of shopping and restaurants at 'all' price levels. Many choices for hotel ranges and close to the train- if you choose to.

If I chose to retire in Manila, Makati would be my first choice followed by The Fort or Fort Bonifacio (formerly named as Fort McKinley). This area is newer than Makati, has many residential developments as well as several shopping centres. The only shopping centre I have visited so far is Market Market which is a good shopping centre. This area has an expanding and has a good restaurant scene and is located quite close to Makati. Hotel options are increasing as popularity of this area soars.

My office is in the Fort and I really like the environment. Its the only place in Manila that you can walk, pavements are great. The mixture of F&B and office is excellent. It lacks quality hotels however.

Very nice place to stroll and people watch. They have tons of stores similar to the ones in the US and they have a good selection of restaurants. They also have Market Market! a couple of blocks away and SM Aura nearby. A good place to run.

Great place if you want that lounge feeling outside. A bit posh but still a relaxed place to hang out with food and some red horse.

I moved from Seattle to the Fort in 2011. It's changed so much. I can't say necessarily that it's been for the better since there's so much more traffic and so many more people. There's a lot less open land to just run, rollerblade and take walks without breathing in diesel or avoiding construction. In spite of all these things, this is still my favorite part of the Metro Manila area. Why? There are restaurants, shopping malls (High Street and Aura and Market Market), supermarkets, spas, workout areas, movie theaters, and organized runs right outside my doorstep. I love accessibility and I despise sitting in traffic, so if you are like me, then this is the perfect spot for you.

It is a new developed area in Manila .. Good for shopping , eating and people who like us fastfood chains ... No need to go for tourists .. Nothing to do with Philippines or any sightseeing ... Just as a relaxing clean place to escape the noise and chaos of the city .. Build for US citizen to feel safe and eat at TGIF or starbucks

From restaurants to bars to health and cosmetics to shopping centers and corporate offices it has it all. Some parts of construction have US resemblance and some parts have European inference.

This is my home away from home, a safe urban oasis with excellent shops, restaurants and attractions despite of all the construction noise and loitering of construction workers while on their break, this mini city boasts the urban lifestyle it offers to young professionals, students and starting families alike. I invested in a condo here, but I am afraid of the growing traffic, which is a major concern. A year ago, traffic was tolerable and vehicle operators followed the rules of the road, staying on their lanes and giving way to pedestrians. This year, however, the number of vehicles on the road more than tripled and the streets are now becoming dangerous for pedestrians as more and more jerk drivers are disobeying traffic laws and disregarding the pedestrian green lights. It's beginning to feel like the busy streets of Manila where the streets are infested with reckless, uncourteous drivers. I am afraid that when our condo is move-in ready in a couple of years, that traffic will become unbearable. Drivers, please stick to your lane, be courteous and be patient. This is vital for BGC's continued growth and success.

Been many times to this place and I have this feeling I'm not in the Philippines. Always clean and well maintained. Lots of high-end and signature shops and fine dining restos. The landscape is neat and lots of charming dogs around the area. Nice to hang out with group

Plenty of choices to shop and eat. Not as busy as other retail areas. Definitely not as busy as Makati!
