Very nice sanctuary. The tour was really affordable and very enjoyable. Lots of information and its doing some interesting stuff. It only takes a couple of hours to see. Make sure you call and make a reservation, I recommend the morning tour. The lily pads will be flowering. They close up in the afternoons.
For our family we always enjoy a visit to the Trust. I'm no expert of fluara and fauna but there is variety here that you wont easily access elsewhere on the island. Recommended to nature lovers or anyone wishing to see some of our wildlife.
Wildlife Trust Trinidad, a peaceful and quite place next to Petrotrin refinery. There is a small charge to enter. Great walks around the first lake, less interesting walk around the outside. A boardwalk around part of the lake provides a good viewing platform for the wildlife.
Went there with my post SEA class. The tour guide was very creative in presenting the information to the students .My one problem was I found that she gave too much info making the tour too long.
Here was ok nothing to be that screams wild life, but the kids love it, hearing the animals and getting to walk through the place, there faces where light up.
This place was wonderful. i love nature so I really enjoyed visiting here. All types of lovely things to see.
Was so much fun visiting here. It exceeded my expectations. It's a nice trek if you're into seeing nature. Please wear footwear appropriate for this sort of activity. It is also inexpensive. The tour was very informative and also there is great literature as well.
They have tour guides which go around at specific times, so do not come late! It is a nice trek around a pond/swamp and you get to see a lot of ducks mostly, some birds here and there. Bring good footwear as it can be muddy and tricky in some areas. It is a nice little trail in nature to breathe in some fresh air and relax in greenery!
Beauty in a place where u least expected, it was breath taking, I am a Nature Lover, so I completely adored every moment of it, and it was very inexpensive, A must for anyone who loves NAture and Bird watching..
Nestled in the heart of the Pointe-a-Pierre refinery is a very nice sanctury for rare ducks. The mini museum is quite nice and the tour very educational. Nice snake collection
I am a nature lover/birdwatcher so I love the wildfowl trust for those reasons. The beauty of the walk around the lake, with the colorful birds and ducks is so serene and lovely. Each visit is fulfilling and most enjoyable.
Good place to visit. Was able to see several species of waterfowl, including the wild type Muscovy duck. Also saw Brazilian cormorants and a few other interesting species such as tanagers and cardinals.
I visited with the Administrative Professionals from the Ministry and although it rained a bit during our guided tour of the facility, we had a wonderful time. The tour guides were knowledgeable and the exhibits both interesting and educational.
We visited here as part of a tour assembled by Gail's Exclusive Tours. A great guide and lots of Trini school kids and families. I loved the scarlet ibis and the ducks of which there were plenty. Guide was very knowledgeable.
The only one of a kind in the world. A bird sanctuary set in the midst of an oil refinery in Trinidad. Beautiful birds and trees and flowers everywhere you look. If you like Macaws you are going to love Frankie a blue and gold macaw who was rescued, he had a broken wing and a damaged foot, thank goodness the Wild fowl Trust nursed him back to good health but sadly he could not regain the use of his wings so he has a permanent home in the WFT. By the way I heard Frankie talking.I saw beautiful peacocks and peahens, even a white one too, amazon parrots, ducks, the scarlet Ibis and many other birds. They have medicinal plants and trees and helpful and knowledgeable Guides to take you about.
