The Aeolian Hall provides London with a splendid location for galas, great concerts, wonderful art displays and FUN! We have enjoyed many events here and the New Year's Party topped them all. The After Four group were amazing....providing beautiful music for listening and dancing. The dinner from Belmont Catering was wonderful with many choices and delightful desserts. This is a venue to be enjoyed throughout the year.....very warm and friendly.
We were entertained by a middle eastern band and belly dancers. It was wonderful. It is a former firehall.
Just saw Oliver Jones Trio last night and after seeing 5 or six shows here in the last year it is becoming a love affair. This community run facility which also runs charitable music lessons for the community's children is a gem that we are lucky to have in our city. My only regret is the numerous acts that I have missed over the years. It won't happen again. The acoustics are wonderful and I couldn't help wondering if the musicians realize how good they sound in this intimate venue. The patrons are usually very knowledgeable and appreciative of the talent they are watching which makes watching shows here even more exciting. Old masters through new young artists trying to break through - you can see them all at the Aeolian Hall.
The neighbourhood can look sketchy at times but you cannot get better acoustics anywhere else.Absolutely stunning building for smaller acts to play in .. an absolute MUST for music fans.
There is nothing to dislike, this hall has the best natural sound in the province if not all Canada. The acoustics are absolutely unbelievable. High ceiling, curved walls make things sound so good.
An eclectic building in an older and almost seedier part of town...this venue has some of the most wonderful acoustics you could ever wish for. We have been to two events here with friends and both times, we were blown away by the sound quality of the stage. Just bought tickets for another musician in November 2014. - can't wait to see how this one sounds.
I've been twice this month already, for a brilliant concert by Loudon Wainwright III -- one of his two Canadian stops on this tour -- and for an edition of Ignite London, where people share their best ideas and greatest passions 5 minutes at a time. I'll be back again before month's end for more music and more engagement at what has become one of London's premiers venues.
the aeolian hall is beautiful!!!!.....not just because of the architecture, but what it has to offer. i have gone to art shows, performances, and music shows over many years. it always seems so warm and intimate.
My family and I have attended a number of concerts in this lovely Historic venue. The last was an amazing show by Dala Girls! Great family venue :) Aeolian Hall has a relaxing, intimate and enjoyable atmosphere! Not forgetting about the passionate volunteers and supporters who make it happen!
My husband and I have attended a number of concerts in this lovely old hall. Our most recent experience was for Barbara Lewis "Passionate Heart - a tribute to Joni and Leonard". this was the perfect venue for her, as the space allowed for a certain degree of intimacy between the performer and her audience, and the fabulous acoustics made for a thrilling experience. Seating can be arranged in the standard rows or cabaret style as it was for this most recent concert.
This is a classic old hall and a wonderful performance space. Seating is always excellent and the sound terrific. We were there with friends for a concert by some long-admired folk artists. The evening was excellent. There is a bar with snacks which can be enjoyed at your seats, and all the volunteer attendants are extremely helpful. When there enjoy a pre-concert meal at Taco Time across the the street - incredible food!
A phenomenal place to tap into the London music scene! This historical location does its best to be accessible for younger generations and is really a treat to visit! The acoustics are very complimentary for the orchestra, and leads to a great experience with classical (or other forms) of music!
We saw Michael Kaeshammer here for the second time. The hall is small enough to sit in the back row and be closer than the front seat of the JLC. The acoustics were great, meaning we could hear everything.
Great venue to hear music. Acoustics are amazing and they bring in a great line-up of musicians and performers. Wonderful to have in our city and hope they keep up the good work!
Great hall with wonderful acoustics, intimate surroundings and passionate volunteers and supporters. All kinds of great acts
