varley art gallery

You might think that this is a huge art gallery from the outside, but from the inside, it's really small with some really disappointed artwork.

This gallery has three rooms, each there own and separate entity.Based on it name, fred varley, a group of seven artist has a room dedicated to him. The larger of the three seemed to house their permanent collection which had a few nice elements.The smallest seems to be the rotating exhibition room, which was a bit small, but a good artist selection.Worth the visit 100%

The Varley Gallery is pretty small as you might expect given the location. When a friend and I visited there was only one exhibit, all photographs from a single, artist. The work was interesting but I'd hoped they might have pieces from at least two or three different people. Maybe I just picked an off time to come, perhaps it is more diverse at different times of the year? Not bad but can't recommend too highly either.

The exhibits were well laid out and the paintings wonderful. The gallery is located in a beautiful village setting - Well worth a visit.
