sault ste marie boardwalk

I live in Halifax and we have a nice boardwalk. But when I visit the soo, I go to the board walk. It is a small version of the halifax boardwalk. The only difference is the water. One is a ocean and the other is a lake.

We enjoyed the good view and found it interesting. We would have to say it was a nice place to go to with a good view of the water and surrounding area.

This walk is very relaxing and interesting at the same time. If you cover the whole boardwalk it will take you to some interesting areas along the waterfront

The boardwalk connects with the Hub Trail which will give you a walking tour of the complete city. But while on the boardwalk, you can see people fishing ( or join in ), explore the waterfront or simply talk to the friendly people of the Sault

This is something special. It goes for many minutes along the St. Mary's River in Sault Ste. Marie. There are great wood carvings along the boardwalk, as well as features described.REALLY - Don't miss this if you have a half hour to spare. It is totally worth the time.

Nice waterfront boardwalk. Great spot for an evening stroll.. summer or winter, and easily accessible from many waterfront business locations including Station Mall, Delta Inn and City Hall/Bondar Park

Looking south over the river is nice, but ton the other side is a mall parking lot, so not too scenic that way.

I walk my dog at the boardwalk most evenings it is safe and well lite . the scenery is beautiful and a place to stop and have a drink in the summer or just sit and enjoy the view.

This is a beautiful place to go for a walk. This summer there were Aboriginal students available for guided walks, which I thought was a great idea for the tourists, that included crossing the lock and touring Whitefish Island. This has to be better advertised. It is well-maintained by City employees, pet friendly and has sufficient resting places along the main stretch. It would be great to have a chuck wagon available for drinks, fries. Washroom locations should be posted. Another trash can should be placed at parking lot by the canal.

The walk is very moderate. Excellent for a nice slow paced walk to stop and enjoy the scenic views. Its a culmination of many different aspects to the boardwalk. From fisherman on the pierto cyclists enjoying a bike ride, joggers and of course babies in strollers. the flowers are bountiful and such an array of colour. Its quite the experience from the start right to the library where its a nice park to end your afternoon.

If you enjoy watching a 1000 foot lake boat sailing towards the locks,watching someone catching a fish or just watching the view as you sit on one of the many benches this is the place to be

The boardwalk in Sault Ste. Marie follows the St. Mary's River and is a beautiful way to enjoy the waterfront. One can walk along the Canal near the Locks at one end to the boardwalk and then on Roberta Bondar Pavilion passing Clergue Park, the Art Gallery and City Hall along the way. One nice feature is the boardwalk for walkers and the paved path for biking and rollerblading. This boardwalk makes the riverfront accessible to everyone. You can see Sault Ste. Marie Michigan along most of it. The city parks crews do an amazing job with flower beds and greenery. Walking the boardwalk is a wonderful way to see some lovely scenery, enjoy fresh air with exercise with many local residents and visitors alike.

We went there last Sunday. It's a beautiful area with great views. Very good for leisure walk. I think that's the pretties area in soo.

Beautiful boardwalk along the water. Great views of the bridge, locks. Can even walk up to the Bondair pavillion

I enjoyed a couple of walks during lunch time and early in the morning. In one direction, you could walk towards the bush plane museum and on the other side, towards the historic lock. Folks were fishing when I was there. If you would like a drink or a meal, it is close to the mall (really close at one end near the lock) and there are plenty of restaurants within 5-10 minutes.
