I have visited here many times over the years and I have always enjoyed the experience. Art work is wonderful to look at and I have purchased a number of items from the gift shop. Thank you very much.

We visited the gallery while having a weekend in the Kawarthas, and I had a lovely time. All the handicrafts and skilled artisan items were quite impressive, but we really enjoyed perusing the gallery of framed art.We spent almost an hour looking at the various pieces, and watching some of the resident artists work on their in-progress bits. I almost came home with several pieces - one for myself, and one for my mother! I am not generally an art collector, but there was some extremely evocative beauty on display.Lots of kitsch is available for those who want more touristy fare, but there are many legitimate treasures to be found inside this lovely outpost!

This is an absolutely wonderful place! Lovely people, great service. Beautiful things to see, bought my gifts her for years.

We spent a couple of hours in the gallery, enjoying the wide variety of artwork and crafts and learning about some of the history and traditions. We bought some beautiful items, after being assisted by extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. This is a must-see for anyone traveling in the Buckhorn area....an experience you will treasure.

This is a MUST SEE if you are in the Kawarthas area. The largest collection of art, jewellry, artifacts, museum items, +++++ I have ever seen. Can spend hours and hours visiting and shopping in this centre. Will definitely return if in the area again.

A very unique experience. We have been taking family and friends to this spot for years, and when my girls were younger I would bring them to this attraction annually, as part of their "arts and culture" training. The art gallery is full of amazing local and Canadian art and the gift shop is chock full of great gift ideas with everything from jams and relishes to jewellery and the most comfortable hand made mocassins anywhere. In addition there's an interesting museum in the building of local first nations items. This is a great place to bring family and friends!

It was snow and cold when we visited the place. The display of local wild life was incredible. The moose, caribou, wolf, black bear, and that 11ft long of polar bear above the giant fireplace just an eye opener. Loved the handcrafts of the native Indians such as porcupine quill basket. The owner Mike Whetung is very knowledgeable of local history, and brave to demonstrated how sharp was the barb on the porcupine quills. Ouch...It's a must see !
