I've been here three times. It's a stop I like to make on my Alaska to US or vise verse. I really like how it's still pretty much a hot hole in the grounds. Sure it's had a few upgrades since the first time I went back in the late 80's, but it's still pretty much a hole in the ground. It's a bit of a walk to the springs, but there are changing rooms, shoe cubes, and places to sit along the spring. The bottom pool is much cooler, so it's good for young people or those who don't like it too hot. The bigger pool is the hottest and it gets even hotter in to the right. I've been there during bot peak season and off season. In peak season it's pretty packed, and you have to pay. Off season you don't have to pay, and that's when I like to go. Though, you have to traverse the winter roads... which can be scarey to down right dangerous. I totally recommend you check this place out.

The most unusual hot springs I have seen. Bubbles up and forms a river that is extremely hot with mineral water, running down river where it gets cooler as you go, so there is a spot for everyones likes. They have hot water fish that survive in these unusual waters!Beautiful board walk out to the springs, nice change rooms, and bathrooms.Worth stopping for ;)

We slept at the campground for 1 night. Good place to stay. We could bring the car on our site too. Also, the hot springs is awesome! Not like some Canada Parks owned hot springs which are quite often a public pool, this one is a natural hot springs! We really get the impression we were in a small stream. There is also a room to change. Bathrooms are only in the campground.

This was are first visit to a hot spring. We were traveling in our 40' Motor Coach. Although the campsites were not large enough to accommodate us, we parking in the day parking area adjacent to the trail with no problem. The boardwalk path 1/4 mile or so into the woods leads you to the pavilion area where a changing room is available. A deck and steps provide easy entry into the naturally-scaped hot springs. As relaxed as you feel while soaking in the water, hours later you will feel even more relaxed and jello-like. Truly a must if you pass through the area.

We stayed at the Liard River Lodge on our recent trip north (May 18,2014).The hotsprings were awesome!! The water was really hot, not like most hotsprings that add cold water so it's just like being in a big bath tub. The lodge on the other hand was a huge disappointment. The carpet in our room was filthy, the furniture cheap and broken, no tv or coffee maker in the room, the screen didn't fit the window etc, etc, etc, Do you get the picture? Would I recommend this place to anyone? Not even my worst enemy!

Ok so it's been a while since I was here, somehow this popped into my head to write about it though. If you are on the Alaska highway headed north, this is a must stop destination. On the way in a Moose was on the boardwalk. Facilities where clean and well done. The best part is the water, as hot or as cool as you'd like. Never crowded, super fantastic spot. This is the place against which I measure every single hot spring and water park. Thermopolis, Fairmont, Bozeman, the Dells all pale in comparison to this amazing natural place. My dream hot springs... hope to return soon. I truly dream of this place sometimes.

I must admit that I was only stopping because my buddy who was traveling with me wanted to, but it ended up enjoying it! Beautiful facility that is very well maintained. I was concerned about the sulfur smell but it wasn't bad and didn't stick to my skin or clothes. If you're driving through be sure to stop.

I try to stop here every time I am driving to and from Alaska. It is fantastic. There are some changing rooms down by the hot springs. I have camped in the campsite as well. That is actually quieter than the lodge across the road.

Liard River hot springs is a for sure must see! absolutly amazing in everyway. This is a place where you can really enjoy nature. we camped on strawberrie flat compsite for a couple nights and I would say it is a 5 star campsite because you are right on the water. the lake is beautiful and there are hikeing trail all around that give you stunning views of the lake. we then went to the hot springs campsite which is great because you can go to the hotsprings anytime you like (even in the middle of the night which is really something diffrent). This is a trip I will definitely be doing again!

Provincial Parks are some of the best camping locations we have found along the Al-Can. They are inexpensive and often provide natural wonders, like Liard Hot Springs. Be sure to walk al the way to the last pool - even if you find it too hot to soak in, you will find the natural beauty of the area worth the walk.Do be aware, you are truly in a natural environment. The last time we went the furthest most part of the trail was closed due to bear activity. That usually doesn't mean bears are that close to people, the authorities are just making sure people aren't getting too close to bears! (An important difference.)

We've been told to stop here buy a few people, some friends even make a special trip to go here! Now we know why! The campground is pretty big, there is a lodge, you can get gas. The hotsprings are about a 20 minute walk along a board walk. They built a really nice deck, changing area, looks like they even brought in big gravel for the bottom of the natural pool. The hot spring 'pool' is long, one end is hot, cools off as you go down. Great place to spend an evening looking at stars and northern lights!

The perfect place to plan your destination or to stop by after the long, but awesome drive. Don't be to quick to stay at the local lodge. If you plan on staying overnight, camping there is excellent and so is the Northern Rockies Lodge about 40mins from there. I stop here most of the times when I drive through. Oh yeah, and its clothing optional once it gets dark.

We camped there and enjoyed the hot springs for free. The campsite is nice and the facilities are clean and beautiful. My family love this place and will plan to stay there longer for the hot springs.

This was a beautiful stop on our trek across Canada and the US. Despite the fact that a bear cub ran through our campsite, we had a great time. This is a must see in BC.

I have been here twice and it was just great. After driving Alaska highway, it is the best place to relax. I have never been in such amaizing place and I guess it must be one of the best hot spring in the world...
