If you don't get the paid tour this is little more than a gift shop. There is one english tour a day, so make sure you are there on time. Other than the gift shop there is not much to see if you don't pay for the tour. You can buy thier products in stores and farmer's markets in the area.
We visited today with my husband and two children ages 4 and 6. The tour was mainly indoors and lasts about an hour and begins with an informal talk in a small theatre. The owner gave our talk (in English, there is a French talk at another time) and he was knowledgeable and interesting, we also watched a 15 minute film shot on-site at the Miellerie Lune de Miel. A professionally designed exhibit area demonstrated what it would look like it we were in a real working hive, then we looked into a large plexiglas display box into a real working bee hive. We also went into a screened in outdoor area and watched as teh guide opened a working hive and allowed the bees to land in clumps on his body, we were also to see real live bee behavior behind an open air screen. At the end of the tour, we visited a gift shop and watched through a window as the hive racks are processed and make into candles and honey for sale. We were able to try about ten different kinds of honey, very different flavors depending on what kind of nectar is being harvested. It was very professional and a lot of fun.
