eastender horse treks

We booked horse trekking with Reg online - he responded quickly to messages and was patient explaining how the day could work as our children were different ages. We arrived and had a relaxed cup of tea and chat, enjoying the incredible views of the water. Reg also took time to show the kids one of his bee hives, they really enjoyed this. He saddled up our youngest child so he could sit on a horse and be walked around the paddock as he wasn't up to a longer trek. We then set of at suitable pace as we were inexperienced horse riders. The fields and sea and cliff views were breathtaking and we loved having access to this remote countryside. The beach ride was a highlight!Reg was very relaxed and skilled with his horses. They were beautiful animals and obviously well cared for.I would highly recommend this as a trip to experience some remote NZ. The drive out to the house is a bit of a challenge but worth the effort. This is not a flash 5-star operation, but what you get back in connecting with lovely locals and the incredible land is more than money can buy. Something we won't forget. Many thanks Reg
