The last place I expected to see kangeroos was a signposted place for a nursery. I was taken here by a lady who I am staying with whilst traveling around Australia. I was blown away by the ammount of wallabies and kangeroos in such a strange location near Tahmoor. Really lovely setting to be able to walk around the park looking at them. Didnt get to see the dingos as it was closed.Really loved it such a surprise will be going back again to get more photos & to show my boyfriend!
This is a small free sanctuary on the Old Hume Highway from Sydney to Melbourne or Canberra. They would ask for a gold donation but it is up to you. There are various animals to be seen here although sometimes they are hiding from sight but as you go to the cafe the Possum who lives above the door may look out at you.The dingoes have been moved here from their previous compound and are now well established. At various times throughout the year there are special days - Snakes and Frogs' prickles and flowers' spiders and crawlies and similar titles. At Christmas there is a get together with BBQ and carolsA good couple of hours spent here is worth it for the children when you are travelling in this direction.
