We did this walk with my family. It was not to hard considering that i did it with a 9, 7 and a 4 year old. The view from the top was amazing and we enjoy quite a bit of wild life on our way up.
Otherwise known to locals as Warrah Trig this lookout provides some lovely views over points of interest such as Lion Island. There are a range of small bays and headlands laid out before you and the place makes for a nice photo opportunity.Access is via a dirt road (signposted last time I checked) from the road leading to the tiny seaside town of Patonga. It can be muddy/slippery after rain but I've never seen it get really bad - your average family car will have no trouble. There is an open area/carpark and you can see the actual survey point there. There is a path that is not wheelchair accessible by any stretch of the imagination that leads to the actual lookout. Little ones will probably need help. Also keep them near once you get to the lookout as while the edge is well fenced it is a fair drop down.A good place for a quick bush walk with rewarding views and to get some happy snaps.
Wonderful elevated view of the Hawkesbury River, Lion Island, Sydney's Palm Beach and back up the river to Patonga. Drive to the end of the Warrah Trig Road, park your car and then walk up and then down the walking track until you reach the lookout (you will cross the Patonga to Pearl Beach walking track just before you get there). Wonderful Sydney sandstone heath flora and fauna. Warratahs in bloom August-September. One of the most lovely spots on the Central Coast. Treasure it.
