tumbarumba visitor information centre

We stopped at the information centreto gain knowledge about what to see inand around Tumbarumba. The lady who greeted us was charming and went out of her way to inform us about the local history as well as drawing our attention to the in-house war memorabilia. As this town has a sawmilling history a wonderful replica of a working olden day sawmill is also on show. Very impressed with this Information Centre.

We stopped in to collect maps of the shire and were pleasantly surprised to find a mini museum in the centre. Displays on Timber milling, bushrangers and well known locals were well worth the look.
