I travel the world in search for spa's. I love a spa and having treatments. Having the name voted one of the best spas in the world, I thought I am in for a treat! Well it really does not live up to the name...who does these awards? I am sure they are rigged as this is not the first time I have tried these so called best spa's in the world!I booked for a body scrub and steam, which was standard, nothing fancy and the room was standard too. The steam room had mould growing on the cealing and was once again dated, meh nothing special. Then I booked for a 90 minute massage. I could not wait to get out of that massage within just after 5 minutes when the first swear word from the massage therapist came out of their mouth. Not impressed and not at all professional. Once again the room reminded me of a waxing room!The only thing that was impressive was the pool, outside sauna and spa. If I knew what I know now I would just pay to use the pool, but then again the ocean is free!

What a gorgeous property - from the moment you arrive you relax. The gardens are gorgeous and the walk from the carpark to the day spa sets the mood with gorgeous tropical plants, running water and gorgeous statues. Its a tropical oasis!I had booked in for a 1 hour massage and I can honestly say it was the best massage I have ever had - thank you Ali.The massage is followed by a platter of fresh fruit, water and lemongrass tea. You have the option to use the facilities, such as the pool, restaurant, etc at an extra cost.

From the time we entered the property, everything was amazing. There is nothing to dislike about this Retreat.

Peaceful retreat for health and down time or just a sensational weekend with a friend or lover (No children)

Last week I was fortunate enough to stay at Gaia Retreat for three nights. It was an amazing experience - peaceful and relaxing with friendly staff. Yoga was a magical way to start each day, followed by wonderful treatments and a variety of delicious, healthy food offered at each meal. It really did live up to my expectations and I would love to return one day.

Just recently spent 2 nights at Gaia. Wow! So amazing. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Especially Tim. The massages are to die for! Whoever came up with the idea of massaging the arms and hands is a genius!! Its so relaxing and its a part of your body that probably is rarely pampered. And boy do they di it well! Food is delicious and I came away feeling very cleansed on the inside. I am now a yoga convert too! Great quick break away from it all. You have to do it!!

Whenever I need to run from the maddening world to rebalance I come to Gaia - she's my soul "mother" sanctuary. This was my third time back and it just confirmed what a unique and special place this is. It ticks all the boxes. The beautiful location - I enjoy sitting on one of the day lounges to drink in the view. All the staff are warm, friendly genuine people who get me as a person not just another guest. The food is out of this world - I dream about it. The Spa is like entering a sanctuary where stress slides off and a sense of wellbeing fills me. The therapist are amazing. I've had lots of treatments with different therapists and these people are truly talented. People tend to share what treatments they've had and with whom and I have never heard anyone disappointed - just blessed out bunnies. I love starting the day with yoga and each time I come try something new from the list of activities - this time a personal training session which was inspiring and I have a few recipes to try out from the cooking demo. The rooms are beautiful and relaxing to be in. Gaia truly is the greatest part of my wellbeing plan and I'll be back - again and again.

This is just total bliss. The staff are sensational and the salad provided for the Day Spa guests just blew me away ... I have never, ever, tasted something so superb. From the organic smoked chicken to the pesto dressing ... amazing. Spoil yourself and escape.

I had the most amazing experience at Gaia Day Spa! I was on holidays in Byron Bay and decided to book in for the Byron Bay Dream package. It was pure heaven. My therapist Linda was an absolute delight - from her soothing voice to her healing hands. I highly recommend booking with her - it was the best day spa treatment I have ever had. The location is so relaxing and magical. I will be booking again when I am next in Byron. Thanks Gaia and Linda! x

Un excelente lugar para descansar y disfrutar buenos masajes, los paisajes son muy lindos y por las noches no se escuchan ruidos, se pueden ver las estrellas y esta a 20 minutos en auto de Byron BayLa atención es muy buena, es un lugar para desconectares del estrés y disfrutar a tu pareja
