We did the Daintree Tour up North of Port Douglas (and had a really good tour guide, I forget her name, but remember that she had been all over the World and had malaria at one point in time).Anyhow, I had gone with another company my first time in Australia in 2003, but when I mentioned that I had a 3 year old - they WOULD NOT TAKE US. I then contacted Billy Tea, and they said "Sure! No problem!". They got our business (4 travelers), and we are glad that we went with them.You drive up to the Daintree area, then go on a boat ride and look for crocodiles (we saw one, yea!), and then after crossing, you drive up further North seeing some nice views, eating lunch at a bed and breakfast while your guides get your steaks ready - you can play with the kangaroos (which my 3 year old loved), and after lunch it's on to a secret swimming spot which they have contracted out with the locals.A place of local fruits to enjoy on your swim make it enjoyable and the ice cream on the way back is definitely a pretty awesome treat! All in all, we had a terrific time on the tour...if I could just remember our guides name.Well, one companies' loss was Billy Tea's gain, as we would use them again if we were in the Port Douglas area (and we are talking of coming back from the US)...and we may try their other tour that goes South...

I went with my 22 year old son and there was something for both of us. The guides were a font of interesting facts and amusing anecdotes. We packed a lot into the day and came back tired but very happy. We weren't aware of the actual price as we booked it as part of our overall package, but having seen the price I would say it was good value, taking into account everything we did. The highlight was the swim at Emmagen Creek followed by billy tea and tasting of local rainforest fruits that I had never seen before, let alone tasted. Despite a lack of crocs on the river cruise, the driver did his best to find some for us and gave us lots of interesting information about the riverside flora and fauna. We loved it.

We had a great trip with Billy Tea Safaris.The tour guide is a great guy, the places you visit are wonderful and you get lots of information. Special about this tour is the fruit tasting with special fruits that i have never seen before. The BBQ lunch was also great.

We spent our last day in FNQ on a tour of The Daintree area and were able to tick an item off "The bucket list". Matthew our guide for the day, was informative and hilarious! The 4 wheel drive truck was quite a different way to travel but comfortable and air conditioned! Thanks for a terrific day out.

We did the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation tour in January while we were there. The tour was good we saw a lot. Best part was petting the Kangaroo, I had never touched one before. Our guide was good and knowledgeable, the bus was comfortable, the steak they fixed us was great. It was a long day and we did enjoy ourselves but it was a bit overpriced.

Came to Cairns to see the Great Barrier Reef but Mother Nature had other plans. We changed our trip to include a Billy Teas rain forest trip. We had such a great time on this adventure. We knew we were coming to Cairns in the wet season so a ran forest trip seemed planned. We saw crocs, birds, wallabies, snakes and beautiful waterfalls. Our guide, Matthew was fantastic. Highly recommendedWe did the all day Safari that picked us up at the front door of our hotel and took us to the Rainforest, beaches, Cape Tribulation and a delicious Bar - B- Que lunch. At the end of the day we were deposited at the front door of our hotel weighted down with fantastic memories and a lot more knowledge about the delicate Rain Forest. Thank you so much Matthew.

The ride will make you nauseous. If you don't get nauseous from the twists and turns the pot holes and dirt rut roads will kill you. The boat ride was hot and we saw very little. Swimming in the creek was cool and refreshing. That and the steak lunch were the only good parts of the day.

Our guides are very passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the areas they visit. They get great pleasure in imparting this knowledge onto others. Your correct we cant guarantee spotting any wildlife in particular but our experienced guides definitely know the very best places to look. It just adds to the unpredictability and element of surprise throughout the day. There are many attractions in Cairns offering the opportunity of viewing in a 'captive' style environment however most would agree this is a very different type of experience.
