Playa Taroa is about an hour's drive away from Punta Gallinas and I bet that all tours that arrive at Punta Galinas will include a trip to Taroa. The highlight is a 40 to 60 meter high dune that drops right into the Carribean sea. Beautiful place to hang around for a few hours, take pictures, have a swim.

the drive to the dunes is long, however is highly worthy to enjoy a 50 meter high dune with an inclination of around 45 degrees, that transforms itself into a virgin silky sandy beach washed by luke warm caribbean sea water. the wayu people of the region will drive you there, and will guide visitors around this unique place.

Excelente vibra, ve uno morir el desierto de dunas en el mar, en pleno mar caribe intenso azul de las olas, bellos atardeceres, un lugar único. te lo recomiendo, la guajira es espectacular
