军械库内还有一个单独的钻石展,需要单独购票。我们在军械库参观了1个小时,又回到正门,进入红墙内参观Kremlin Walls and Towers建筑群。
You has to schedule your visit ahead of time as number of visitors per day is limited. Unfortunately, time in the room is limited as well.Amazing rocks and jewelry. History will amaze you. Dandelion made with diamonds - fantastic!
This place is crowded by tourists so my advice is to drop here during working hours and when there are no school holidays. Place is definitely worth seeing. If there is possibility - get tickets in advance, lines or people who want to buy them are horrible so are the lines inside to Diamond fund. Yet the collection is impressive.
You must make time for this while visiting the Kremlin. I recommend you hit this first at 10 am when it opens, followed by the Armory. The jewels will blow you away. One of the most amazing collections you will ever see.
there are only a few of you allowed in at a time and then you are locked in with some guards but you are allowed to take your time in looking at the stunning jewellery, Huge beautiful diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, beautiful intricate designs, all in all lovely.
If your a foreigner you will easy get tickets to this museum. It's very small- just 2 rooms, but interesting. They have guided tours but not sure if for English speaking persons too.
Really worth to see inside Kremlin in Moscow. You can see ages of czars wealth and power. you can walk then inside Kremlin and see biggest cannon and biggest bell in the World - called Czar Pushka and Czar Kolokol
Going here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you have to try - there aren't many other places on Earth, if any, where you can see things like this. It's different than the Crown Jewels in London, in that most of the jewels are raw, not all set in jewelry. We're talking glass cases full of thousands of diamonds, in all sizes, all colors, and all shapes and sizes. Then there are gold, silver and lots of other jewels.A "must-go" in Moscow.
its not just impressive, after going inside you will never see jewellery the same way, the museum is astonishing, the have kg of diamonds and gold all over crowns and thrones.
We got into the Diamond Fund by luck. We know of the complexity in booking tickets. But on the day of our visit to the Armoury with our American friends we inquired about the possibility to get into diamond rooms. We were told that if we prefered self-guided tour we were welcome to purchase tickets. That is what we did. We had a little leaflet with information. It was a strange feeling. It was completely dark in the rooms, the light was coming from the exhibits. Thus, they looked so pretty!Pay attention to the third largest diamond in the world from Yakutia.
It was worth going. I have read before about long lines and how difficult to get into this museum, but as we were with a tour guide, it was easy. We didn't wait even a minute to enter. The story behind of the most attractive diamonds and whole history of this museum made this visit very impressive. It's a favorite part of Moscow trip for my wife;)
Check with tours time, you can only go with a guide, choose an English speaking one if you are not fluent in Russian
best in class in the world. To be improved the communication in non russian languages. At least in english
We couldn't decide at the beginning if we wanted to go into the Diamond Fund however it is not disappoint and I would certainly recommend it to anyone. It might not be to everyone's taste and it's not a part you'll spend hours doing however it was something I would have been disappointed to have missed. The room is to put it bluntly a great space for Russia to show off some of its best diamonds and other stunning elements. They have a mix of Russian items and gifts from all other countries given to Russia and although you have to pay extra to go in it was totally worth the cost (it was around 500 rubles I think?)
It's a feast for jewelry loves...definitely a must see in Moscow...the collection is really beautiful... highly recommend!:)
