There is a most wonderful camp site in Savudrija near the lighthouse, Pineta Camping, where we camped every year for the past three years, my now 90 year old husband and I. It really is the best camp I have been to, suitable from singles, families and even old folks like us ...

Take pictures about the nice environment. The view spectacular to the sea and the lighthouse and the beach. Nothing important is there.

We stayed for a week in one of the four apartments in the house next to the lighthouse - and came back for another week right away. Great place to stay, newly adapted, quite plain - no luxury but who needs that if the sea is 30m away and you have the choice between eating out in the many restaurants or buying local fish and testing your chef qualities in the fully equipped kitchen. Apart from that the inner courtquard and the fenced garden are very nicely kept by the friendly keeper's son - this is a truly good place to stay, even in the high season. The lighthouse itself has a nice history - it is said to have been built as a hideaway for Count Metternich and his secret love - who tragically died before the two could spend a romantic weekend there.We were luckier ;-)

What a beautiful lighthouse. Very nice to have been able to visit the oldest lighthouse in the Adriatic. Worth the drive over. The view behind it of the Adriatic is amazing!

This is apparently the oldest lighthouse on the Adriatic Sea built in 1818 by an Austrian nobleman. It is distanced 20 meters from the beach and 50 m from the camp. It comprises a 3-star apartment which can be rented during season, but it seems it should be reserved at least a couple of months in advance. The lighthouse also has a large fenced garden which can be used by guests .

This famous icon has agreat history attached to it and so we found it fascinating , well worth a visit , very serene and great views

The Savudrija Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse not only in Croatia, but also on the whole Adriatic coast, build in 1818. It is Croatia's northernmost lighthouse. You should visit it if you're nearby and see it's beauty.100 meters from the lighthouse is a restaurant named Lanterna, they have great food with reasonable prices.

One of the landmarks of Istria. Do not miss it. It is only 8 km away from Umag, 20 from Porec.

Sono stata qui con la famiglia per le vacanze invernali. Il guardiamo é un ragazzo molto gentile e disponibile. L appartamento al primo piano con le finestre direttamente sul mare era ampio e completamente ristrutturato. Zona tranquilla durante la bassa stagione che si trasforma in una "scatenata" nei mesi caldi. Sicuramente un'esperienza da 10 e lode!

Non siamo alla prima esperienza di Capodanno trascorso in un faro. A dire il vero siamo già alla terza...ma non credo proprio che sarà l'ultima! E' stata però la prima volta in questo faro. La posizione è ottima: all'interno di un villaggio turistico che, nei mesi "caldi", sarà sicuramente un macello, ma a Capodanno è deserto...i primi esseri umani sono apparsi il 1° Gennaio, i giorni precedenti eravamo solo noi 4 ospiti della struttura e il guardiano del faro.Abbiamo occupato l'appartamento più grande da 4 posti, molto pulito, riscaldato al punto giusto e vivibile...non aspettatevi qualcosa di anche vagamente lussuoso: c'è l'indispensabile per vivere degnamente. Il guardiano è un giovane del posto che parla italiano ed è molto gentile e disponibile. L'handicap di andare in Croazia a Capodanno è che si è in bassissima stagione, quindi la maggior parte delle strutture turistiche sono chiuse; il vantaggio è che per 3 giorni abbiamo pagato una cifra veramente irrisoria. In ogni caso, se per voi il Capodanno non è fatto di schiamazzi, botti, rumore, neve e caos...questo è il posto giusto!

Abbiamo soggiornato per il capodanno 2014-2015 in questa location un po' particolare ,la struttura e al'interno della proprieta' del faro e comprende 4 appartamenti e appartamento del custode,persona veramente squisita e gentile.Noi abbiamo occupato l'appartamento per 4 persone il piu' grande a piano terra,spazioso ,ed aveva tutto l'essenziale per passare qualche giorno.Il posto e veramente perfetto a pochi passi dal mare ,ma anche a poche centinaia di metri dal piccolo centro di Salvore ,anche se nel periodo visitato da noi era quasi tutto chiuso,ma noi siamo andati proprio per questo,Una esperienza simpatica e veramente rilassante,Non e la prima volta che soggiorniamo in un Faro per le festivita' di capodanno e devo dire che e' una esperienza veramente bella e diversa dal solito,vi consiglio di provarla.

sono legata a questo posto per un evento speciale e quindi non posso che parlarne bene, ma a parte questo abbiamo soggiornato per una notte nel piccolo appartamento che c'è nella struttura del faro. Visto il costo mi aspettavo qualcosa di più, ma c'è l'essenziale...e l'atmosfera e la posizione renderanno il vostro soggiorno comunque magico...

Abbiamo soggiornato presso il faro in un spazioso appartamento con ampio giardino recintato direttamente sul mare splendida vista.Ci ha accolto il guardiano del faro che parla italiano, un ragazzo gentile e simpatico tutto perfetto!!
