Special emphasis is placed a great beach "Paradise Beach", 3 km longThere are also surrounded by 22 great beach. All on a small peninsula Lopar, Island Rab
The beach is great for children, clear and not deep water. If you don't want to have part of crowds and noise from other resorts, this place is perfect It is good for relaxation, there are boat trips to other islands, there are some activities on the beach, but unfortunately we had part of them only one evening and after that the season had closed. There are also many hidden beaches, that you can reach them by foot, following the paths through the forest or by bike.
If you visit Rab island with children then it is your place. Sandy beach, umbrellas, not deep water, lots of possibilities to play. Go there.
I really liked how the beach looked and its really great for the kids, but it gets really boring for adults when you have to walk like for 2 kilometers and the water is still barelly touching your knees. anyways, the offer on the beach is good, but it's just not my type of relaxation..
It is a good place for who loves sandy beaches. The sea is very shallow, you can walk about 2-300 meters and the water is only reach your knee... The beach and water are also very clean.
Sandy beach with shallow water. We spend hours in water laying in sand with kids and than rented a paddle boat and humbled nearby island.
Sahara Beach is overrated. Yes, it is a sandy beach, which is rare for the Adriatic, however, it has many disadvantages. It is so shallow that one has to walk over 100 m to be able to swim. There is no shade, no facilities (except for a smelly garbage can), and a difficult access (on purpose, as it is a nudist beach). It is at least a 30 min walk form the town of Lopar. I thought I was clever and drove half way to it. DO NOT DO IT! The alleys of Lopar are very narrow, lined with stone walls or houses, and shrink to 2 m without warning: I scraped my right-side mirror in one turn and almost got stuck on the way back (I think on the same corner), where one cannot go forward nor backward without scraping the walls. It was a nightmare, and we will never return. There are many better and more user-friendly nudist beaches on the Adriatic (for example, at Bol).
This is not my first choice beach because I like more intimate ones but if you are trying to find a beach like in the movies this is the perfect choice for you. Is long about 2 km if im not wrong and is all sand. There is a little island that you can go by walk because of the shallow water. Clean water, beach bars, everithing that you need for a beautiful vacation.
The easiest beaches to get to are not as someone described as Paradise due to too many people using them and the commercialism that always follows. But if you take a little trouble and effort to get to some of the other nearby beaches such as 'Sahara, Cikanka or Dubacs' then you will be rewarded with clean, clear, warm & extremely safe beaches especially for children. We were there early August at height of season. Lopar at night was enjoyable and mostly reasonable value.Probably will return at sometime in the future..
On the north of the Island Rab you can find "paradise beach" near village Lopar (only 2, 5km from Lopar). Lopar is a small port which you can reach by ferry from island Krk (Valbiska), or by car if you are already on island. Beach is reachable by shuttle train or by foot, sandy beach with trace of mud, shallow sea is all what you get. If you want to swim you better choose another place for it, because this place is only for kids and for those who like to walk through the water. Maximum deep is aprox 1m. Beach is surrounded by pine trees, which makes this place very fresh, with pine smell and all place is well shadowed. A couple bars will offer you a variety of beers, cocktails and hot drinks. If you want to spend a laisy day, surrounded by lot of kids and their toys, noises and loud parents this can be right place for you.
Lopar and the surrounding area has a lot of great beaches to offer. Rajska plaza is sandy and crowded with beach restaurants and different services. But that one is just one beach among the many. You find natural sandy beaches also (no services there), some rocky beaches and smaller beaches all over Lopar. The surrounding woods, rocks and bushes are beautiful and varied. We recommend Lopar if you like sandy beaches with shallow water or you like trekking and discovering nature and other beaches. I recommend to walk around, we will never forget what we have seen here.
Beautiful sand beach with lot of beach snack bars, for 100kn you can rent beachchairs and beach umbrella, spactacular views. If you stay in Rab this is a must-see.
I am just not into long stretches of sand beaches with a shallow sea. Not to mention it's really crowded. Kids love it though!
It's my oasis of peace on earth, a place where I can recharge batteries There is everything I could wish for me and my family: nature, beaches, restaurants, fun for all, the whole family. I recommend everyone to visit this paradise on earth.
beautiful!!! it is a special place for the children! The water is clean and worm, the beach is also clean and the people who visit this place are so kind. You must visit this place!!!
