archaeological museum of ancient mycenae

The museum adjacent to the archeological site is well worth a visit. It has artifacts from the acropolis and items that show the influence of other civilizations. All very interesting.

The area where the museum is located is divided in to two places of interest; the dig site (outdoors) and the museum itself (indoors). The dig is ok but throughout Greece you can find and see ancient sites with buildings in a much better condition (not from that period though). So if you've been to the Parthenon or Delfi or even Sounio you will not be amazed by the findings there. The museum is well curated, quite explanatory and gives the visitor a good idea about the Mycenaean civilization overall. Really worth's visiting if you are around the area. Considering renting a tour guide can also be a good idea to enhance your knowledge and experience on the subject. The day of my visit the shop was closed for no apparent reason. Just closed. Sometimes I just can't understand my race...

Glad that the site was not plundered much and liked how the photos of the discovery gave us context of how the site was discovered etc. Enjoyed the time here.

As the name reveals, this museum is closely linked to the findings and the history of Ancient Mycenae. It is small but gives your knowledge of what you need to know when visiting the sight itself. I would recommend to start here and then go up to the sight.

Nice little museum and well organized. Has some special items that cannot be seen elsewhere. would recommend that if you are at Mycenae to go ahead and go to the museum. I went late in the year and it was not hot at all.

ミケーネ遺跡とセットで行きました。博物館はとても綺麗で展示品も綺麗でした。出土品は色々な形の壺が沢山展示されていました。説明はされましたが忘れてしまいました。写真撮影はＯＫなので自由に写真を撮って帰りました。博物館からも周辺の景色を眺められてとても良い景色が見れました。

Археологический музей в Микенах расположен вплотную с территорией местного Акрополя. В нём три зала, в которых хранятся экспонаты и находки, обнаруженные в Акрополе. Также есть предметы, найденные за пределами древнего города. Очень интересны традиционные древние сосуда и фигурки, а также коллекции монет и печатей. Привлекает внимание так называемая золотая "маска Агамемнона", точнее её копия. Оригинал, найденный в Микенах, хранится в Национальном археологическом музее Афин. В фойе стоят стенды с историей города, раскопок, а также представлен макет Акрополя и прилегающей территории. Увидеть всё это, а затем посетить развалины Акрополя - очень интересно и познавательно. Кстати, в сезон созревания апельсинов рядом со входом выжимают сок, которым можно полакомиться!

Конечно Микенский музей не избежала участь других провинциальных музеев, когда оригинальные находки передавались для выставок в столицу. Не смотря на это экспонаты археологического музея Микен заслуживают особого внимания. Здесь выставлено значительное количество артефактов, знакомых нам еще из учебников истории.

O Museu Arqueológico de Micenas é uma ótima opção de passeio para quem visita as ruínas da antiga cidade de Micenas. O museu é relativamente novo e tem uma estrutura bem agradável, receptiva e moderna. Além disso, é um ótimo refúgio com ar condicionado para suportar o calor que faz no sítio arqueológico. A entrada ao sítio arqueológico custa 6 euros (julho de 2014) e já inclui a entrada no Museu. Vale a pena o passeio! Só ressaltando que alguns dos achados arqueológicos mais conhecidos de Micenas estão no Museu Arqueológico de Atenas (Máscara de Agamenon, vaso dos guerreiros, etc).
