slammer bar

One of my favourites in Ios. You do not have to try the Slammer shot to have a great time here. Nice club with great music and tasty drinks in the bar.

its oner of those things that you have to do or drink!!!the whole thing is very funny and you have to take a video!!!the stuff is friendly and you can have a nice time over there...

This bar is for teenagers. The bar tender clothe a motorcycle helmet to you and serve you tequila. You drink it down the hatch and he hits your head strongly with either a box, fire extinguisher tube or a skateboard to make you feel more dizzy. Wierd way of having fun but the teenagers love it.

If you like to get hit on the head with a wooden baseball bat, this is the perfect place for you. BUT if you're like me and you don't, well this is not the bar for you. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone :(

Slammers is the best bar in IOS! Great and friedly staff, good music and great drink. You must try slammer drink. I went there everyday!

we went here with the contiki crew august 2012. many many memorys of this bar, i think it is one of the best bars in Ios. will be back on my next trip to Greek Islands :) do 7 shots and get a free tee

The best place for great shots and a perfect mix of people and music at the dancefloor. The doormen, bartenders and rest of the staff is really nice and are always smiling. Don´t forget to try the classic Slammer shot and burning "coffee" shot with cinnamon which gives it sparkles.

If you sometime visit Ios, you cannot leave the island before to visit The Slammer Bar at least once! Located in the main square of Chora, The Slammer Bar will offer to you everything what you need and what you want for a crazy party night. Good atmosphere, a big variety of shots and cocktails (specially the world famous "Tequila Slammer"), cool music, really good DJ and the most important and, in my opinion, the better one... THE STAFF!

This bar is situated up in the village. Great bar, would recommend getting the Slammer shot, this consists of Tequila and Sprite. The guy behind the bar puts a helmet on you. Once you have downed the shot, he will hit you over the head with either, A fire extinguisher, A Hammer, 2 x milk crates, or jumps onto the bar and kicks you in the head. There is no where else like it. The music in the bar is good, and has a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly when I went in June 2012, would recommend this to anyone.

There's no need for me to describe the place, many other reviews have done such a thing.It really is a cool place to have a few drinks, dance and have a great time!What stands out is the mood of the staff - all are smiling :)

I have been in slammer bar this summer, it the best disco-bar of the island, the drink are very goods and I reccomend one drink: the slammer hammer, when you order this drink , the barman puts you a helmet and then hit you with hammer or other objects:-) ! In the disco-bar there is good music!!

One thing you have to do on Ios Island is go to Slammer Bar & get hit with a large item (helmet on of course) & drink your tequila lemonade shot. This is the best gimmick bar in the square, it is just one of the things you need to experience. the drinks aren't very strong so everyone can do this! Plus the photos are always quite funny!

NIce bar with a lot of fun. Try the slammer shot, tequila with sprite and then wear a hemlet and get slammed with a variety of things, usually a hammer. It has a nice atmosphere and the barmen are really good this year. It is full with crowd until 4.00 am but after that many leave. The fun however doesn't stop.

A bar that epitomises most peoples experiences of Ios. Heaving crowds, lots of drinking and dancing and a hit on the head with a heavy object while drinking a tequila! not to be missed.
