Scenic bay with long sidewalk by the water, nice for walking or running. Closed little port for small boats good also for sailing

Always something to watch, boats of every shape and size, fishing boats, family boats, flotillas, cruisers, gin palaces and to top it all Sea Cloud, (look it up) but never overcrowded.

We stay for two weeks in Vathy. Many restaurants for every choice. Especially in September a perfect place in Greece. Easy to go the beaches, rent a boat. Nice bars with harbour view.not for people who like to party at night. Perfect for relaxing from job. We come again.

it was really beautiful both during the day and the night, with all the sailing boats! The restaurants in Vathy are not worth mentioning and the shops in general not very tourist-attractive, in a sense that they closed early in the evening (at about 10 p.m during the last week of August) and the people working there not very professional!

From Vathy town looking out to sea, it is almost as though you are standing on the edge of a lake. The mountains all around seen to close off the entrance to the bay and make the views spectacular. Plenty of large boats to look at and interesting shops.

Excellent beach with just a couple of reastaurants discreetly placed close by, so you feel like you are on a quiet beach and not in a tavern infested area.. Very convenient parking as well, and great place for families as well!

That stopped in time Amazingly peaceful and quaint Bay for mooring boats not swimming surrounded by small town with taverns, stores and coffee shops

Vathy occupies an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It's not huge but always something happening to watch.Colours of the town are stuning whatever the time of day or evening and is a very pretty spot. Lots of quayside tavernas,ice-cream parlours etc so very easy to switch off and unwind. Very high standard of food everywhere.

We went to Vathy on a day trip with captain vangelis boat trips. It was so quaint and pretty. A small bay with lots of waterfront tavernas. We were there for 11/2 hours, I would have preferred 2 hours just so that I could eat in peace without rushing then go for a stroll around the bay.

Filiatro beach is a must if they have the bar open !!! The play cool music and have a self serve bar

Coming sailing towards Vathy Bay you can enjoy one of the spectacular passages between the isles of the Ionian sea, the deep blue water of the channel and the goose family that will wait you on the quay will be unforgettable .

Las vistas de la bahía son impresionantes. La isla en general es preciosa y vale la pena visitarla. Las mejores playas, las calitas desiertas!La gente muy amable y Vathi es pequeña y con encanto.

La baia di Vathy è il più grande porto naturale del mondo. E' bellissimo e romantico. Si entra con l'acqua nella terra e nel cuore della storia, forse anche Ulisse tanto tempo fa attraccato qui le sue navi

Linda e muito protegida , a baía de águas azuis e tranquilas é um convite ao relaxamento. Ao seu redor, restaurantes, cafés e bares garantem momentos de boa comida com belissima paisagem.

Um bom lugar pra se hospedar em Itaca. Não é bom pra banho de mar. Por ali tem alguns restaurantes, lojas de souvenirs e supermercados.
