4 hours of relaxation and luxury. My husband and I enjoyed our time here to unwind and relax. This was truly an amazing couples experience. Not for the shy due to being all nude. But, when in Germany, do as the Germans do...

The bad cannot be seen without paying for it.the surroundings are open and should be visited, it is a totally different feel in this city, different from most of the other places and sights.

The ruins are next to the Friedrichsbad spa. They are only open a couple of hours every day. So if you are in the area, it is a decent break. But I would not go out of my way to see the ruins. Very small area. The audio guide helps, but still not worth a trip to see.

For anyone who has seen the remains of ancient baths in Rome (Caracalla, etc.), or at any major Roman site, the Roman baths at Baden-Baden are of minor interest. But the walk up to them and the ruins themselves make a pleasant way of passing a couple of hours.

The ruins itself are nice, but what 's on top is execellent: The Friedrichsbad. Bath like the Romans, if you take the whole package with soap/brush and massage it's like a visit to the sauna and hammam combined. 4 hrs later you feel envigorated ! Go on mixed days when male/females bathe together. Of course everybody is in the nude , this adds to a very relaxed athmosphere.

The Roman Bath ruins are located adjacent and underneath the two active spas in Baden-Baden. the price of admission includes a head seat with narration on the various features of the roman bath ruins. These ruins provide you with a glimpse of how advanced and clever the Romans were in terms of heating water, and operating a bath for men and women. It is an interesting perspective especially if you go to the Caracalla or Friedrichsbad.

This small, tucked away piece of ruin had got me interested even before I arrived in Baden - Baden; so I went to this place a little before its opening time. But of course, had lots to look at and read on the panels describing the roman baths even without paying a penny. When the place was finally opened on the stipulated time, I paid for the ticket, picked up the audio guide and started the excursion. Amazing to see how such a small place has been maintained and giving such exhaustive information. It sort of gives you an idea how roman times may have been. The 3d animation gives you that finishing touch to all of what you hear from the audio guide.

We weren't able to get inside for a tour but did spent some time to photograph the ruins. From here we headed to the Amphitheater.

The Roman bath ruins are quite well preserved, particularly the underground heating system. There is a short explanatory film at the beginning, which is also quite good. The audiotour is (sadly) very dull and seems to drain any interest or excitement from the ruins.Never mind, it is only a couple of euros to get in, so it is still worth a visit but not for longer than 30 minutes. Some nice postcards and Roman souvenirs available for any students studying classics.

Great experience. My husband and I choose a day when genders are mixed so that we could travel through the experience together. I highly recommend doing it as a couple.

Walked through town to visit this attraction on a Saturday afternoon only to find it appeared to be rarely open - 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon on most days. Very disappointing on a Saturday afternoon when the streets were full of tourists.

Basic ruins, but worth it. It's only a few bucks to see, AND it's the foundation of the Fredricksbad. Nice little treasure.

A really interesting and educational attraction Extremely busy but in October we didn't have to wait to long to get to each exhibit. Allow plenty of time to go around.

After enjoying a day at the Caracalla Baths, it was interesting to see how this region has been a hotbed for spas for centuries. I enjoyed seeing the engineering behind the construction of the roman baths, as well as the model recreation. The way it is set up, you can walk through on grates, without disturbing the actual ruins. It was a small but mighty exhibit.
