calmont klettersteig

What a beautiful hike along some of views of the Mosel River. The views were breathtaking. Defiantly worth the time. I can't to do it again in the spring time.

the steep climb up the klettersteig gives you a sense of achievement, breathe the fresh air, enjoy the forests, vineyards, stunning views and nature. If you dislike heights, narrow paths and strong shoes and want a gentler walk to the top of the Klettersteig, take the alternative route on foot from Ediger Eller or Bremm, or drive up the Beuren road and park near the Roman ruins close tomthe pastures and walk the five minutes along a stone but flat path to the viewing point. During the summer, there is a wooden hut selling wine, beer and grape juice at the edge of the forest overlooking the views over the Mosel where its bends are the more acute. Paragliders also jump,off from up here occasionally. Nice for anyone of any age who appreciates unspolt nature, peace and quiet.

I would really recommend this route because the views are very nice! Don't do this while it is raining or freezing, because it could be really tricky.Don't forget to wear good shoes!

The mosel river is famous for its pituresque scenery with narrow windings, medi-evil villages and the spectacular winyards cultivated on century-old terrasses on the steep slopes of the Eifel hills. One of the most spectacular windings, also featuring the steepest hill of all (Calmont) is located in Bremm, 30km west of Cochem and 70ks east of Bernkastel-Kues. Using the vintner's trails, locals and tourism authorities have built a walkingtrail through this vinyard, offering breathtaking views of the river and surroundings. There are lots of different trails that can be used, including ones that follow the monorail, which apparently can be used with a trail wagon normally aiding the vinatge (reservation with a service provider is obligatory). After the track we stopped at Weingut Ulrich Franzen for a winetasting. The mosel Riesling is famous all over the world for it's fruity bouquet, a rich minerality and a vivid acidity carrying a lingering, animating aftertaste. The wines that Kilian Franzen makes out of the grapes cultivated on the hills around Bremm definitely live up to the image Mosel wine enjoys among connoiseurs. They only offer dry whites and as such some of the best that Bremm has to offer. My favorite was the Riesling 'Calmont'. The hike was at some points streneous, but overall with some hiking experience no problem. The scenery wat beautifull with views of the Mosel river and the Eifel hills

Mooie uitzichten en goed te doen (middelzware wandeling). trek wel goede wandelschoenen aan want het pad is glibberig hier en daar en soms ook wel steil

Eine besondere Form, den Calmont, Europas steilsten Weinberg, zu erkunden. Wenn man Glück hat, ist auch eine Straußwirtschaft am Klettersteig geöffnet, so dass man die tolle Aussicht bei einem Schoppen Calmont-Riesling genießen kann.

Ein tolles Erlebnis mit guten Aussichten. Leider sind die nervenkitzelnden Abschnitte nur kurz, aber der Rest erfordert auch Konzentration. Kombiniert mit dem Höhenweg hat man auch eine insgesamt interessante Rundtour. Der Weg an der Mosel lang ist dagegen etwas eintönig.

Wer an der Mosel Urlaub macht muss durch den Calmont gewandert sein. Sehr anspruchsvoll. Wer die ein oder andere Strapaze hinter sich hat wird immer wieder von einem atemberaubenden Ausblick belohnt. Ich kann nur sagen: einmal Calmont immer wieder Calmont.

Man sollte schon ein wenig trainiert, schwindelfrei und nicht allzu ängstlich sein...gutes Schuhwerk tragen und sich wie eine Zwiebel anziehen, denn der Berg strahlt viel Wärme ab. Dann lohnt sich der Klettersteig aber auf jeden Fall und falls man an einem der kleinen Weinstände unterwegs doch etwas zuviel des guten Rieslings hatte, kann man sich auch mit der Monorakbahn nach unten an die Moselweinstrasse bringen lassen. Wie Achterbahn - nur langsamer und mit viel Aussicht!

Leuke klimtocht met uiteindelijk een prachtig zicht op de Mosel. Wel het juiste schoeisel meenemen anders heb je een probleem als je weer naar beneden wilt gaan!

Een uitdagende wandeling.Niet geschikt voor personen met hoogtevrees, perfect haalbaar indien droge weersomstandigheden!Enig klimmerswerk ( ladders en stalen draden ) is noodzakelijk.En proef gerust de wijnen van deze hooggelegen wijngaarden, een aanrader.....

Schitterende wandeling op een spectaculair pad. Niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn of hoogtevrees hebben. Was genieten van mooi uitzicht en mooie omgeving
