As a part of the experience, which is the area around the Leaning Tower, this shouldn't be missed. If you go to the Duomo in Florence first, this may seem somewhat tame in comparison, but the interior of this Cathedral is really stunning, and shouldn't be missed. The entry is included with other tickets you buy for the Tower, Camposanta etc.
Beautiful Piazza that has various things to do including this Duomo, the leaning tower of Pisa and the baptistery. This marvel used Romanesque architecture and is definitely something you should see in Piss. Entrance is free.
Every building in every city has its own character. this one is very nice from the inside and outside! It's an amazing church with all its riches and full of character. The only bummer was that we couldn't wonder inside it. they only allow you to enter up to the first part of the building. I don't know if it was just a one time thing or if it is actually like that.
It's lovely but compared to the Florentine duomo is merely 'quite lovely' rather than 'mindbogglingly spectacular'Worth a visit if you like gargantuan catholic architecture... otherwise possibly not much point.
This beautiful medieval building is one the the best monuments in Pisa. Worth going into if you have time, as there are some great paintings and sculptures inside. It's less popular than the neighboring leaning tower so you get relief from the crowds as well.
Free to get in and worth a look, so beautiful. Be careful of the times tho as it closes for lunch. Very crowded in the summer so be aware you will have to queue.
It's beautiful, stunning! I don't know why the tower is more popular. Anyway, don't stay at pisa. That and the tower it's all you'll see.
This stunning and ancient medieval Cathedral is a must see when visiting Pisa. Obviously Within very close proximity the famous tower, It contains some interesting and marvellous artwork and really adds to the cultural experience of visiting the tower. Access to the Cathedral is regulated by time slots and is free to enter by gaining a ticket from the ticket office near the tower. I would really recommend visiting it when in the area.
I loved Pisa. The leaning Tower is spectacular. We were on a tour and didn't have a lot of time but was able to visit the Baptistry, Cemetary, Duomo. You have to plan in advance to up the Tower. It's a quaint little village and a must see if you're visiting Italy.
Pisa's Cathedral is most impressive from the outside, sandwiched between the hefty baptistery and the iconic leaning tower. It is a big, white building which looks stunning against a blue sky. It is interesting inside, with frescoes, statues and an unusual font. Not the most amazing cathedral interior, but not bad either. It's the outside that is the most visually arresting part though, both in its own right and when taken in context with its surroundings.
The exterior of duomo in Pisa looked quite shabby and tired in comparison with Florence and Siena, not really inviting you to want to go in.
A very attractive building, impressive from the outside and does not disappoint when you enter. We got free entry with our tower climb ticket but you could get a free ticket if not. The frescos, statues and paintings are very nice, but a lot of areas are roped off so you cant get too close.

What a beautiful place, inside and out. The architecture and artwork are indescribable. Make a visit earlier in the day when less crowded... looks gorgeous in the morning light.
