A wonderful collection! Quite a stunning collection of armaments etc and armour. A real surprise was discovering that the horses on which the models plus armour were sitting were made from wood and covered in real horses skin!

This is my favourite part of the Palazzo Reale, a wonderful display of soldiers on horseback. It's quite regal as you walk through the long hall. This is included in a ticket to the Palazzo.

This is a fantastic collection of weapons and armour from all over the world from the middle ages to end of 19th century and in conjucnction with the palace makes a most interesting visit the best part was that upon production of evidence i.e passports it was completly free to over 65s (there has to be some perk)

Worth the visit even it you're not a weapons aficionado. When you turn the corner in the palace and see this gallery it is amazing. There are a few electronic kiosks in the room that provide additional info (in English or Italian).

Interesting collection of mainly 19th century weaponry. Best to visit in comniation with visit to royal palace.

The Armeria Reale (Royal Armery) is full of impressive dressed- for-battle horses, suits of armour and a big room devoted to the housing hundred of guns. Beautifully presented. Don't miss it!

We had visited the Palace and this was the natural follow on from that visit.Breathtaking amount of armour and weapons in there from way back in history and very well laid out. The sheer amount of exhibits was amazing.We had thought it can't be that big and won't take us that long to get around, it wasn't huge but we were in there a considerable amount of time as there was always something to catch your eye.From early armour up to muskets and early 20th century hand guns- and with some very interesting details.The halls it was in were also superb.Very enjoyable, very much worth a visit and very recommended

After visiting The Palazzo Reale we came to the Armeria Reale, looked at each other and said we are not particularly keen on armour so perhaps we should go for a coffee. Luckily we decided to have a quick look and that saved us from making a big error. Yes, there is armour plus weapons aplenty but they are all really well displayed and we were fascinated. Also the organisers of the collection have added a fun element by displaying various school projects running parallel to the main display. So thank you, the armour purists may not approve, but we had a great time and learned much about armour. Go along, you might surprise yourselves.

Grand palace with beautiful grounds. Takes several hours to enjoy it all.Bus from Turin using the Silver Tourist card is a good deal. Take the bus. Parking is not convenient and we did see a car that was broken into during broad daylight. Window smashed. Stuff stolen. Hide your belongings in your trunk.Lots of Savoy history explained.Musical fountain display at noon.On the down side...it felt like a recently renovated structure rather than original ... which it is. I like to think that the worn stairway stone has been walked on for many years rather than being made from modern materials and construction. It looks great and the reconstruction is impressive but how much of it is the original? The ticket purchase process was unwieldy and tedious.

We visited the armoury as part of the Palazzo Reale, which does not seem to feature here on its own. The armoury is quite spectacular, with some of the suits of armour showing the usual Italian flair for style. The Palazzo itself is also well worth a visit.

This is probably one of the best collections of arms in the world - so many items, so well-organised. The first hall is dedicated to ancient and medieval weaponry, and the second hall - to the weapons of the Risorgimento. And there you can go out and stand on the balcony from which Charles Albert proclaimed the war on Austria which led, ultimately, to the unification of Italy. Not a place to miss!

definitely worth a walk through. lots of history about the royals, etc. but the biggie here is the armory. definitely worth the price. They collected weapons from all ages and they love to display it. must be one of the finest collections around. we spent almost 2 hours just looking at the weapons.

Great collection of arms and related items mostly from medieval and renaissance times… part of the tour of the Royal Palace, fairly interesting (but a bit expensive)

We were pleasantly surprised at just how good this museum was. There are several mounted knights in armour along with big displays of weaponry from long periods of history. Well worth a visit.
