javorovy hill

Mountain resort on Javorovy Hill 1032 m is southwest of Třinec. There is a chairlift from Oldřichovice to the hill top. Chairlift was built in 1957 with 120 seats and carrying capacity of 364 persons per minute. Route distance 1310 meters, height difference 462 m and driving time 9,7 minute. After about 500 m walk you get to a tourist chalet built in 1895 with a cosy restaurant and stylish accommodation in Malý Javorový 945 m. Also in the above mountain rescue station and TV station. From the hill is visited by people who need some rest and want to enjoy panoramic and nice view Polish Beskid and of Slovakia Tatras. Is one of starting point for mountain hikes, with a recreation centre, this hill is popular place for skiing trail 22 km. Three ski slopes of different levels of difficulty are enjoyable for downhill skiers. Javorovy Hill is a paragliding paradise and tandem flying well-know all over the country.
