A variety of animals: White lion, Siberian tiger, African elephant, crocodile and penguins etc An excellent animal's show and a cute souvenir shop! The price is around 70€ , that's why take your card!!

Hundreds of varieties of animals to see. I like how the animals are in pair. Love the birds of prey show with the performers dressing up. Makes you feel like you've been transported back in time. The parrots show is worth a watch too. The path feels a bit disjointed with no clearly defined route so that we don't miss any animals. My tips : prepare for a long walk, bring picnic & perhaps long lense for the camera. You can easily spend the whole day there. The best zoo I've been.

Nice and compact ZOO. A loot of animals and very nice close-ups. The giraffes, zebras and elephants are leaving a bit better with some extra "leg room" while the other animals live in tight "apartments". I am comparing with the ZOO in Belgium (Pairi Daiza) and maybe the space related comment is not pertinent. Overall, nice visit and good "wild feeling"

Amazing zoo, worth all the money, all sorts of animals and you can feed the goats, she eps, and lamas.

We had a great day in the Zoo of Amneville. Actually the Zoo is so big you have a hard time to make it in a day. Very green, many trees & bushes, makes appear animals more natural despite being locked in. You can get lost easily since there is not the single path thru the Zoo. Large variety of animals. We visited only the bird show but that was excellent. Despite all this I find the price too high: 90 EUR for 2 adults and a 5-year old is heavy. Also we were disappointed that mid April only 1 out of 4 restaurants were open, and that was the one at the far end of the Zoo so we walked the whole day without any possibility to buy food or drink.

Have a nice day close to animals. A place to visit with your family. You can spend hours watching the animals living together as if really free. Good attractions: wolves, parrots, penguins. And the gorillas , really incredible !!!

We visited the zoo on a quiet weekday before the real season starts. No crowds then!Plan to get there as early in the day as possible if you wish to try and see everything. Getting there by car was no big deal although the signposting gets somewhat erratic in the last kilometers. Other attractions close by are easier to find. The 32 euro per person entrance fee is quite high considering that you do not even get a free one-page plan of the extensive site. You'll have to decide by yourself which is the best way to get around. There is an overabundance of warning signs about various dangers you might face near the animal enclosures, but finding your way around the site can turn into guesswork.Once in you cannot get out again to fetch something you might have forgotten in the car. So if you opt for a picnic (your best option considering how lousy and outrageously expensive the food is inside) think ahead! The strong point of the zoo is the sheer number and variety of animals on display. The French commentary given by dedicated staff when they feed the penguins, tigers, raptors, etc... is to the point, informative, delivered in a clear and straightforward manner. The info displays in front of the cages and enclosures provide a minimal German and English commentary in addition to the French version. Apparently nobody tried to get hold of a native speaker to proof read the texts of the info displays. Mistakes abound. Thus the grey-crowned crane become a fancy "grey grawned grave" (sic)!!!There is a strong discrepancy in the quality of the animal enclosures. Some are clearly getting old and do not offer the animals enough breathing space, while others have been lavishly renovated or built from scratch to offer the animals and the visitors a challenging environment. In many cases the visitor is happy to see the animals without disturbing bars or fine-meshed wiring. Some of the plexiglas (?) panes are badly scratched from the inside, which is going to spoil the fun for many serioius photographers: on a bright day prism effects through these panes are magnified by the scratches as well as by the blotches on both sides (animals splashing around and people sticking their "paws" on them). In many other cases, the photographer will get an unobstructed view on the animals, be it the Amur tigers, the penguins, the flamingos, the pelicans, the wallabies, the wolves or the rhinos, just to mention these few, Yet, you have to reckon with the fact that on a busy day the vantage points on the viewing platforms will quickly get crowded. The raptor cages surrounding the arena where the great raptor show takes place in the afternoon, are such that getting a good angle to obtain a worthwhile shot is challenging. A lot of vegetation hid them from our view and we had to be patient until they came into full sight. The birds of course like to perch just next to the fence or on/near the human-made wooden boxes and sundry contraptions which offer a poor background. Limiting yourself to headshots and trying your best to achieve a pleasant bokeh to neutralise the unpleasant background, will guarantee satisfactory shots though. This also means that if you go to this zoo with photography on your mind you have to be patient and spend at least the full day there.

If anyone can go I would recommend it. Great zoo. Lots of animals. Best of all is that the are shows with lots of different animals. If you go there make sure you have a whole day off, as there is lots to see. Children will love it. My son did not want to leave the zoo after being there for 7 hours

The best parc zoologique, well maintained, lots of animation, over 5000 wild animal from all over the world. The bay of sea lion, amazon jungle, plaine africaine, gorilla camp, les rapaces, and soon Tiger world

I was impressed by the variety of animals and by the good conditions offered to them.My favourite spot was the polar bear tank, which was amazing. It is a place for children and adults equally.

The zoo was better than expected. For me, one of the most important things is that the animals are well looked after, that their enclosures are big enough and that an effort is made so the animals can be active. No zoo can ever be perfect, but this one seems to have made quite a lot of effort with the animals' environments. They have a surprising variety of animals, and what is even more impressive is how many they have of each (e.g. several rhino, at least five tigers, a whole pack of white wolves). The park is big enough to keep children occupied for a day, and there are lots of refreshment stands around the park.Only two negatives: firstly, the price. For a family with two young children (3-11), the entrance is just short of EUR 100. I suppose they have to cover their costs, but it would be nice if the annual passes were more attractively-priced. Secondly, the quality of food and drink is poor (admittedly, it was winter so not everything was open). The park only allows one member of a party to exit and re-enter, otherwise I suspect everyone would go to the McDonalds nearby!

This is an amazing zoo, we spent several hours there, do not miss the shows they have, especially the Bird of Prey. You have to check the hours, as each show is done at most 2 times/day.

Not all the animals seem to be treated and handled properly there. In particularly the polar bear seemed to be suffering from stress.
