The Lido is a good place to relax. I was laying on the grass area, and there where no noise or annoying kids running around. The pool is very good with wide lanes. Unfortunately the 10 meter tower was closed that day. There a are lot of lifeguards around the pools. It's a little expensive, if you only need to lay in the sun.

Wonderful area by the lake with a sandy beach and several swimming pools to suit all ages and stages. Lovely grassy areas for picnics with plenty of shade from the trees.

We've holidayed in the area for years - all the kids want to do is "LIDO". Great views of the lake & mountains - also good value. With small kids, the number of life guards on duty is a real comfort.

Great views! Great facility! Great atmosphere! Many things in Switzerland but this is a bargain for an outdoor activity in the summer. It has everything you need and you can stay all day! It was a present surprise to find this place.

The Lido is a good place when you have nothing to do on a weekend. You can go there with your friends or children and enjoy a good day. The entrance is not cheap nor expensive but the food in there is very expensive. You have sandwiches and fried potatoes and other simple food but the prices are high for what you get, very high. You can't bring anything, food nor drinks, inside the Lido so once you are in there, you have to starve or empty your wallet. The pools are very good and clean and the place itself is very clean. You can swim or just pass your time cooling in the water. You will have a good day there, just try to smuggle some food and drinks and you will enjoy it even more!

The is a main square with buildings covered in cascading flower boxes. On certain days they hold open air markets, festivals & cinema, otherwise just sit at a cafe with an espresso and soak it all in. In this area of Switzerland, the variety of languages you'll hear are amazing!

Lugano is a very chilled city, and the lido just epitomises this. There are many places to sit both in the sun and shade (grassy, beach etc) both of which give easy access to the lake and the swimming pools. The lake is beautiful, stretching out into the mountains, however it can be a little dirty - I suppose this depends on the day. The swimming pool was lovely and clean, with lanes set aside for people wanting to swim lengths, and an area for 'fun swimming.' There are also diving blocks. There is also a kids pool, where there are diving boards of about 10-15m. There are also cafes for refreshment. As it's all open air, the atmosphere is just great for all ages, and definitely worth the 5 Francs entrance fee!

Lugano has a lot to offer & the promenade is a beautiful place to walk or take a boat ride. Lake Lugano is gorgeous. Not far from Como, Italy. You do have to pay to cross the border - 40 Swiss francs - but the ticket is good for a year. We love to visit Lugano - which is in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. Keep a look out for some rather unusual statues & art. Also, Switzerland as a whole is very clean. Not a speck of trash anywhere. Don't miss out on this as well as "Swiss Minatur" which is very close & has miniature recreations of all the major cities in Switzerland. Lovely!

This is a top-notch aquatic facility right in the heart of Lugano. But the lake itself is such a stunner, you might not be interested in a swimming pool right next to it!

I went here with some friends and their families (2 young kids). The Lido has a beach to go swimming in the lake of Lugano (depending on the season, the water can be a little cool for me). At this lido, they also have some swimming pools. The grassy areas where you can sit fill up very quickly, so don't expect a great spot if you don't arrive earlier in the morning. There is some food available, but many people brought their own. The beach is relatively small.

This was somewhere we found for swimming and sunbathing. There is a little sandy beach on the edge of the lake where we hired parasols and sunbeds. there is also an olympic sized pool and high boards. Very good showers and changing facilities.
