cracking local pub split into bar and lounge, with both areas having there own different feels. The bar is your typical local pub full of great characters. The lounge is a great place to eat, with quality freshley made food served throughout the day, the steak pie being one of the best i have had. There is agreat atmosphere throughout the pub and would recommend anyone to give it a try. Also do a great quiz on a Tuesday night and Karaoke a couple of times a month that really gets the bar rocking!

Unusually the restaurant in the lounge is actually a run as a separate business from the pub. This probably explains why the food offering is much better than average pub grub. Waiting staff are friendly and attentive. We went recently with friends with 2 young kids and so we can now add that they are child friendly.The Pub is traditional and friendly and can get very busy. Great place to meet friends or watch sports. In my experience this is a pub that welcomes everyone as long as they behave!

This public house has for a long time been a super meeting place for a drink, however have noted their loung bar food was very good at prices all can be pleased with.

I have eaten here a number of times now over the past couple of years. The food is always fresh tasting, plentiful and good value. It has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. the children's food was equally as good as the adults which was appreciated by my fussy boys. Will continue to come back here again and again. The bar also has a good atmosphere and staff are very welcoming.

Have been to the Blackbull on a number of occasions but haven't posted a review before but felt on this occasion I would. The lounge has a great atmosphere with great food, atmosphere and service! David and Brooke who run the restaurant are friendly and welcoming and its a great place to go to eat with all the family. The menu is great, good choice, great portion size and always really tasty! We will definitely be back!

we stopped by for the first time on the way from linlithgow and we are glad we found this gem the food was all fresh and nicely presented we will be calling in again

Good pub grub and friendly staff in the bar and lounge. Have been going here for years with friends and family and will continue to do so. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Be warned, only drink or eat here if you want to be served by bigoted staff,How can you ask a man to leave a pub because he has a Union Jack on the collar of his shirt?This man was not a football hooligan, he was a former member of her majesty's armed forces.An establishment should not be picking and choosing who they wish to serve based on the manager/owners political leanings just because they were obviously 'YES' voters who are bitter.People should boycott this lousy excuse for a pub.

Asked to leave the Black Bull because I had a Union Jack on my collar last night after the football, but the pub was more than happy to take £80 from me wearing the same t-shirt when I ate in the lounge with the family 3 hours previous?! After serving in the Armed forces for 18yrs I found this the ultimate insult. The food and serving staff was fantastic and a credit to David, the bar staff could maybe take some advise from the lounge staff!?Bar staff should be ashamed of themselves!!

Eat here on a regular basis and the food is always brilliant. There is a great choice of good, fresh food. The portions are very generous and it is resonably priced. The menus changes regularly and there is usually specials available too. The service is always 1st class and we really enjoy eating here. One of the best resturants in the falkirk area.
