Tip: Book! If you need a chair during any of the displays ask - staff will get you one. Take time to look at the 'individual stories' behind the main 3D display. This was really enjoyable on a wet blustery afternoon and has items to interest everyone including the kids. The tale telling is balanced and the representation of the Scots and the English attitudes is very good. The 3D effects add a strong touch of reality and the souvenirs in the shop are that little bit different.
I was disappointed that by the visitor experience in comparison to the National Trust's visitor centre at Culloden. It is expensive and not worth going out of your way to visit. The modern interpretation seemed to be aimed more at visitors with children. Apart from the borestone there were no artifacts from the battle itself. The staff were the only saving grace. They were very attentive and helpful.
Thanks for the feedback. Our enthusiastic staff also wish to say thank you for you rating. We are delighted you enjoyed our experience and café. We tend to use our local suppliers as the quality of the produce is to a higher standard. We tend to us them as much as possible in order to sustain the local economy and reduce carbon. Thanks
Thank you for visiting and leaving your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed the visit. With regards to our young man in the T shirt. Staff wear the 3 times award winning branded T shirt for comfort. The young man in question was a volunteer on his first week of training. We apologise if he appeared unsure. We do hope you will re visit in the future when you have more time to enjoy the rest of the site. Many thanks again
Thank you for your review. We have found that people from a variety of age groups love the attraction. In particular they love taking part in the Battle. Thank you again for review and thanks again for visiting we do hope you will return in the near future.
Thanks for the feedback and the high ratings based on your 10/10 experience. It is always great to know that people are really enjoying all of the hard work that the team at Bannockburn put in. Best regards
Thank you for your feedback it is very much appreciated. We are sorry you did not fully enjoy the attraction. We are glad to read you enjoyed the café. We do have staff members within the 3D exhibition to guide visitors. We apologise if one did not come to help you. Thank you again form your feedback
Thank you for such a kind review. We agree that all of our improvements to both the new centre and the conservation of the monuments are for the better. We hope that you enjoy your return trip during th summer and take time to visit the monuments in better weather. Thank you
Thank you for your feedback. It is encouraging to know you liked the new building. Concerning the expense of what you actually saw. We are priced within the same band as other local attraction. However we feel that as you did not participate in the game you have not actually gained the full experience. There is no added payment to participate in the game. Following any battle game the battlemaster provides a narrative of the Battle of Bannockburn. Please do get in touch with the centre as we do feel you have not had the full experience. We also run hands on history classes on weekends which are popular with both as .Many thanks for your feedback it is very much appreciated
What a great review THANK YOU. We are so delighted that your children loved the exhibition. Our staff also would like to say THANKS. Please do come and visit us again at Easter for our trails and in the summer when we will be running some activities outside.
It is always a pleasure to read that grandparents and grandchildren enjoyed visiting and taking part in the game. We have as you stated worked hard in presenting as accurate a representation as we think is possible. We think that even those who would not wish to play the game should visit to witness the immersive 3D experience and learn what actually happened near this spot, Thank you for your feedback.
Thank you for your gratitude to all of our staff. We have passed on your comments to them.
Thank you for visiting the site where Robert the Bruce planted his standard before he faced the might of Edward II’s army. We are delighted that you had time to pause and reflect at the monuments while taking in the views. It is a pity you did not venture inside the attraction. Our cafe and retail area are open to non visitors. We hope you enjoyed your trip to Scotland and thank you for your “Biased feedback”
Having read your feedback we are extremely disappointed that you did not enjoy your visit. We have spoken to our Battlemaster concerning your complaint. The exhibition is recommended for children aged 7 plus. However, many families have do bring children under the age of 7 and have proved to have a great time. We appreciate that you feel the 3D film game was “naff” . The entire 3D immersive exhibition is delivered in a 4K and HD format. All of the combatants in the experience are historically accurate and we used a stunt team who have appeared in Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Robin Hood in order to deliver the best motion caption possible. We do wish you had spoken to a member of staff regarding your disappointment. As a charity we rely heavily on admission and retail income to operate the exhibition and maintain the monuments and park. Our aim is to deliver the best service possible. We would be indebted if you would please contact the centre and we will arrange a refund for you.
Thank you we are also glad you visited the Battle of Bannockburn. We designed the Prologue or puppet show to tell the initial background of the lives of the two kings and highlight the contrast of the 3D animation. As part of the project we spent a great deal of time on the conservation of the monuments. Did you know we found a timecapsule in our flagpole which contained a empty bottle of whisky from the 1930s? Thanks again for visiting and for providing us with such high feedback.
