We planned to come here as a last minuets thing but was pleasantly surprised with this place. There is loads to see and do for children and for us bigger kids lol. We had a great afternoon out even with the really cold weather we had today. Our bonus for the day was seeing the newborn lambs one only just been born when we had arrived. All In all I highly recommend this place. Oh yes one other thing don't forget your wellies

Went with friend and two year old. So much to do, the play area is great. Didn't know a two year old could spend so much time bouncing on the kiddies trampoline! Then the slide, her mum said two trips only as mum has to be with the young children, eight trips later, mum exhausted and child ready to go on. Visited the animals and outside play area too. Took time to explain you can't take a lamb home but got through that! The café is very good for both for kids and adults with their menu options. It has changed since I went some time ago but they have got the balance of change right it hasn't become a 'theme park' just moved on to meet the extra new needs.

Visited for the 1st time taking my 19 month old granddaughter. There was plenty to do for her age group, staff were friendly and informative. Would recommend this place for a lovely day out,Tea rooms get very busy soTaking a picnic prob the best idea as there was a 25 min wait to get served and the same again for hot food - this is the only negative I can mention

Picking today as the nicest day weather wise of half term, we descended upon Bocketts Farm. Arriving at 1030 hours, the first car park was full but there is ample space on the fields above the farm. Muddy as ever so bring a change of clothes and wellington boots for all, you will get muddy!! Both the car park and the queue to enter was very well managed with the staff ushering us to the three entrance tills as they became available. TIP, sign up to the website and receive vouchers to use - very handy at times. TIP, if one of your party is disabled then an adult is allowed in free as a carer, please be genuine though! After entering we decided to forego the excellent indoor softplay areas (for now) and got straight into the animals, the rabbits, chipmunks and other small rodents enthralled the kids as did the milking of a goat, reluctant as she was at the time! We then ventured outside to see first the ponies and then onto the lambing shed. Parking the buggy outside (wish all the parents did this), we entered the shed to see the normal residents of cows and pigs and then on the other side were the newborn lambs, some a day old, others born this morning and jumping around! Our 7 year old was chuffed to bits to hold a two day old lamb, our 1.5 year old was content just to stroke it! After the obligatory washing of hands we then watched the birds of prey display with owls and falcons. The 7 year old was picked to have a very large falcon land on her hand (glove provided of course) and she was of course blown away by this! Then came the pig race, superb fun and crowded, so pick your spot and hold onto it!! BOARis Johnson won this race, hopefully an indicator of the forthcoming election, if he decides to go for it (COME ON BORIS)!! Snack time beckoned, TIP, bring your own packed lunch as there are numerous places to sit and enjoy, both inside and out depending on your preference. The excellent outdoor play areas were then enjoyed by both children and then we went inside the barn to the indoor play areas. After bouncing around on the trampolines, running around the ropes and sliding down the slides, it was toilet time before we left. The facilities, bearing in mind the amount of people there and the mud, were in excellent condition, this includes the baby change area as well!! A last effort was made by making badges for free and then we gathered the children up and passed through the shop without any major purchases!! The long walk up the hill was a challenge, alright for the little one in the buggy who encouraged us onwards and upwards! Getting back to the car, putting all the muddy bits in the boot and securing the children then saw us on our way after 4 and a half hours of fun - both kids were knackered and pleasured by all the events of the day. Thank you so much Bocketts, bringing ample distraction to a half term day. We will be back!!!!

Visited in the winter so we missed the pig races and some other activities. But my son enjoyed it. It was his first visit to a farm and he loved interacting with the animals, seeing the new born Angus calf, and just generally enjoyed the whole experience. It's extraordinary. Loved it.

I could stay in that place all day long. I wish I could just live there. friendly staff. great food. plenty of space and plenty of amazing cute animals.

We have visited several times with our son (now nearly 5) since he was a baby and yet again, another great afternoon out. Over the years, we have seen Bocketts transform from a farm with play area to a play area with a farm, but you can't blame them these days. The addition of the huge soft play and slides with heating are welcome in the winter and the Tea Room/Cafe never disappoints. We also love the go-karts and jumping pillows as well as the trampolines. The staff are always friendly and the animals always look happy enough and well cared for. Just a few niggles - most of the pedals seem to be broken or breaking on the tractors and some of the farm scenes are starting to look a little dated and in need of an update. I really hope Bocketts feels it has reached its balance of play vs farm - any more and the Farm in Bocketts will be a misrepresentation and the entry price (almost £10 each for adults and children over 2) will be too high.

Been coming here for years and years and still love it! Great setting on a nice day, loads of things for the kids to do and burn off energy

I took my children to Bocketts Farm on the last day of the Christmas school holidays and we had a fantastic time. The entry fee can seem a little steep initially (nearly £30 for an adult, 2 year old and 7 year old) but given that we were there for over three hours, it was well worth it. Bocketts Farm is very well laid out with plenty of diverse activities for children to enjoy. The play area with sandpits, tube slides, static tractors etc. is terrific fun. We also enjoyed a tractor trailer ride to the top of the farm. The indoor play barn was excellent - my 2 year old spent nearly an hour riding a little tractor around the circuit, whilst my 7 year old played on the trampolines. The little cafe in the play barn was pretty decent value and the cakes and coffee were good. In all, it was a terrific morning out and my children were exhilarated and on the way home, fell asleep in the car.

We've been here twice, both times in cold winter months. I would suggest to fully appreciate the farm and all its attractions a warmer month is best. There are numerous great outdoor play areas, mini karts and tractor and pony rides. The indoor play barns and soft play area are excellent but unsuprisingly busy in winter. Still not too busy to use though, just parents might find themselves standing. There are good animals and good opportunities for interaction. Its a very good farm. We happily travel 40 mins to it.

On Sunday 14th Dec we took all our family including 4 grandchildren to visit father xmas, he was fantastic and the whole experience was 1st class, we arrived at 9.30 and did not leave untill 3pm with all the kids having had a great time.A wonderfull day.

My son's nursery organised a visit to meet Father Christmas and what a delightful experience we had. We have been given a time slot and asked to arrive about 10 minutes before. All the children were give a pass. They were then met by an Elf who then drove them to another area with the farm having swapped their passes for a miniature stocking. All the parents were able to walk alongside. The children were then met by another Elf who took them into a magical grotto. It was very well decorated with lots of hay, toys, music and overall looked quite enchanted. Two Elves ensured the children were entertained and then Father Christmas arrived. He was brilliant. He looked great and sounded fantastic. He then spoke to every child and "wrote" in his special book their Christmas wish. He then gave them a present. We were able to take photographs and film our child with him .We were then were able to look around the farm. Unfortunately our son was feeling under the weather so we did not spend a great deal of time looking around the farm but what we did see looked great - ducks, geese, pheasants, chicken and some very large dogs. There is a indoor play area as well. I will definitely be going back and Bocketts for making my child's first meeting with Father Christmas so enjoyable.

I Went to Bocketts farm yesterday to purchase my christmas tree, never been here beforeit was the sign that attracted me, Well what excellent service by a guy call olly he was sohelpful in finding the perfect tree and stand, i will certainly be going there next year toget my tree. thanks a lot olly

What a delightful place! We took our two year old on a cold November day and had just the best fun. We could barely tear ourselves away from the slides in the soft play area to go and hand feed the farm animals. As our daughter still has a midday nap, we didn't spend the whole day, so there is lots to go back for.
