Helpful and informative guides made this an interesting experience. Lots of historical facts made every day a schoolday.

The staff on hand to answer all your questions - the price was a bit steep concessions could have been a bit better

Interesting talk about how people lived and the guide giving the glove making talk was excellent! Well worth a visit.

We had a couple of hours to kill and went here as it seemed the thing to do. We just wanted a look around his birthplace house but we had to buy a ticket that included other places to visit and included return visits for up to a year. We paid £16 each and just looked around the house and won't be back within the year so it was a lot of money for what we got.I thought that we were hugely short changed. There is not a lot to it and would you be surprised if I said that the biggest room was the gift shop which you are forced through on the way out.

Nicely done museum before entering the birthday of Shakespeare. Actors throughout the house adding in appropriate dialogue and information regarding the house and what life would have been like during the time of Shakespeare. The gift shop at the end of this tour is one of the better shops...especially if you are a Shakespeare buff!

This visit brought the Bard's story to life with his early home contents showing how quite well to do people live during his lifetime. We had a special interest in what results the archaeological excavation had revealed. Well worth a visit if you're in the area or planning a trip.

I'm not a massive fan of all that is Shakespeare but i found this very interesting and nicely done. I didn't realise his birth house was quite literally in the towns high street! We got a pass to all the houses and places involved in the area on a year come as many times as you like thing. We managed to do most on the one day though as they aren't that far from each other and all equally interesting. We found it quite informative but overall it was just nice and interesting to see. Everyone was helpful and friendly despite everyone of us looking like drenched rats from the weather'

You cannot visit Stratford Upon Avon without going here. You can buy a round robin ticket to see this and Ann Hathaway' s cottage in the visitors centre next to th house. Facinating and interesting! Highly recommended

I must note that I am not the biggest fan of Shakespeare or History, therefore this review may be contentious. This is probably one of the most boring attractions in Stafford-upon-Avon that I have visited. I (along with others) were given a tour around the birthplace which was pretty tedious; they only showed us the rooms and talked on... and on.I dont have much to say about this attraction except do not visit if History or Shakespeare easily bores you, else most likely you will be bored. Also, you have to stand a lot whilst you listen to the tour.

After many visits to Stratford, finally succumbed to visiting the birthplace. I liked the fact that the presentation is about the whole family, not just Will himself. The many guides are all very knowledgable and happy to chat and answer questions. Downstairs you get to learn about glove making and try on the gloves. During my visit there were actors in the girl's bedroom and we were treated to Under the Greenwood tree, followed by a speech from King Lear. The exhibition in the cafe building currently relates to Magna Carta (King John) and legal documents mentioning Shakespeare.

We had an afternoon to spare and no car, so bought the basic ticket (valid for 12 months) allowing access to this and Hall's Croft as well as two other locations in town. Both houses were well presented and the helpers helpful and knowledgeable. Learned much in the short time available to us.

I purchased the Plus pass, which granted me access to most of the buildings linked with Shakespeare, and it proved fantastic value for money, as got round all but one of them but it is valid for 12 months after purchase, which allows you to go back and revisit things you missed last time. Shakespeare's birthplace was absolutely stunning, the building and the gardens outside really gave you an insight into his life. The guides were all very friendly and knowledgeable, providing you with more information about the building, about the history of Stratford and, of course, Shakespeare. If you are a fan of his work, it's a must do! If you aren't, it's still worth a visit, especially if you like culture and architecture.

Some very good display boards with just the right amount of information and some excellent room guides make visiting this museum a very pleasant experience. The guides were knowledgeable and not pushy, only giving you information if you wanted them to. Well worth a visit.

This attraction proved to be much better than we had originally expected. Beginning with a very interesting multimedia presentation on the many ways that Shakespeare's plays have been used throughout the years, visitors then walk through a small museum of artifacts before entering the house where Shakespeare was born. Moving around the house, visitors meet various stewards and actors at several points who are dressed, in the main, in period costume and who describe particular events and cultural issues that were of importance during Shakespeare's time. There is also a musical interlude, staged by actors, which is amusing and very entertaining. After leaving the house there is a lovely garden at the rear of the property and visitors leave via the obligatory gift shop. All in all this was a bonus visit for us and, bearing in mind that the ticket included entry to other places of interest in the town, it was good value for money.
