博物馆里的陈列让人回到了几十年前英国。细节很到位,有兴趣的可以一点一点细看,有很多已经走进千家万户的产品当年的样子。免费,值得一去。
A very enjoyable, educational experience where you can go back in time to see how the streets of England looked in the 40's and it's free. Highly recommend.
great vist took friends vising us for the week end being fro Sheffield they don't have any thing like this there so love see the oid trams and shops and the carriages
I recently stayed at Cave Castle Hotel an amazing venue which I would thoroughly recommend and decided to visit this museum with my young family. It was a wonderful day the children were interested and entertained with plenty of things to see and do whilst managing to learn some things too. If you are ever in the East Riding of Yorkshire I would definitely recommend a stay at Cave Castle Hotel and a visit to Streetlife Museum
I really think people in Hull don't realise what an amazing array of museums we have right in the heart of our city!Gives a real insight to past times of our wonderful city!
Been here with the kids many times and the kids love it. Plenty too see but will only take around an hour or so. East Yorkshire busses usually do a big bus day in August/September which is a great day with loads more for the kids and older kids to see and do
Although the museum is not large, it has a good collection which is presented in an interesting fashion.
Makes a great change to have a free museum! Although not large, it has lots of interesting exhibits from the area.
This is a free museum and has quite a lot of interesting areas to look at ranging from different forms of transport to shops of the past and a little area showing films. We were tired from a visit to The Deep, so watching the films was ideal and gave us a chance to relax. We watched a training film for conductors on the trams, which showed parts of Hull in the past and a rather sad one called 'Alan's bike' about bespoke cycle making. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend it for a wet afternoon.
I hadn't been to the transport museum for year's which is daft cause i live in Hull and the it's always a good day out.
Very interesting, great to go on a cold rainy day brought back many memories from our younger days grandson like the train. Staff very helpful. Lots to see round the area as well. Went with age range from 3-88yrs
Hull's old town is superb, the bars, the new swing bridge and the museums, of which this one is fantastic. Must visit Hull and you must visit this place.
Went here to pass a rainy afternoon.been lots of times before and always find it interesting.i love history and looking at how people used to live.pleasant staff and will answer any questions you have.nice ,clean place.interesting
last week i took my wife and grandson visited it was nice things we fine hull.my grandson really like he said he and his friend will come back to see again
Visited this museum during the half term holiday and as you can imagine there were many families visiting this attraction. Well laid out extensive displays of all manner of transport from bicycles to old trams. The East Riding museum is next door which also has many interesting exhibits of the local area, again easy access and well laid out displays. Both the museums are located on the bank of the river Hull and outside of the of the Streetlife museum an old Hull trawler (Arctic Corsair) is moored, which has been turned into yet another museum. Escorted tours on certain days can be had from the end of March, but check beforehand for availability as the ship is manned by volunteers.I intend to go back to this attraction without my grandchildren so that I can spend more time viewing the exhibits.
