Decided to go on a random Monday for a look round. What a hidden gem, and they talked me into becoming a national trust member! It was a great insight into the past with a knowledgable guild in every room. It was a pity it was so cold that we couldn't take advantage of the grounds and walks. The nearby church is worth a visit as well. To top it all off the tea room was lovely with nice food and drink.

Great to find a NT property open all year. The house was beautiful, smaller than many NT properties which made it seem more homely. Gardens looked pleasant though a bit early in the season. The restaurant was also good. There are also marked walks around the estate. I will certainly be visiting again later in the year.

A great place to visit again and again. There is something for everyone, with stunning gardens in the summer, a great second hand book shop and a lovely eatery. The house itself is fab, full of history and stories from across the generations. I've been in October and February and both seasons have shown Baddesley off very well. The second visit was with a baby and the facilities are fine, but a little chilly in the winter months. Otherwise, a fantastic afternoon out.

Lovely building with history of the priest holes. Grand fire lit homely feeling. Enjoyed the walk around.

This little gem of a place is a must see if you are in the Warwick area. We decided to visit this beautiful building on a horrible rainy day in February. It was very easy to find and with plenty of parking. Even though the shop, restaurant and gardens open at 9.00, the house itself doesn't open until 11, so we had to amuse ourselves for an hour until the house opened. We decided to shelter in the very comfortable restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not have the appropriate weather gear so was unable to visit the gardens or the estate. The volunteers were extremely knowledgeable and very engaging with the public. The house itself is beautiful, with an abundance of wood paneling, stain glass windows and dark wood furniture. We also had a ghostly experience in Mary Chatterton's bedroom. Be sure to ask the volunteers about the priest hole. Overall, an absolute must see and probably one of my favorite National Trust properties so far but try to pick a fine day to visit.

Both Baddesley and Packwood are worth visiting. You can go to wander round the gardens, or go for a coffee or full meal or spend time enjoying the properties if they are open.

Excellent NT property well worth a stop. But they must sort the catering staff at all these sites there is no consistency or recognition of how busy and popular they are. A queue going out the door and the lady is asking: do you want a hot bowl for your soup or I have some very hot ones at the back, shall I put the cheese on top of the chilli or do you want me to put it on the potato then the chilli on top of that, where do you want me to pour the gravy, on the potato or the vegetable? Me, just get on with it so we can all be served.

Easy drive from Birmingham down the M42. We visited this site as we are members of The National Trust. Good sized car park where you can start the Five mile country walk to Packwood House which is another National Trust site. The house at Baddersley Clintion is a joy to walk around. It is very well maintained and has many rooms full of period furniture and fittings and plenty of information on the families that lived there until it was bequeathed to the National Trust. There are plenty of very knowledgable volunteers around to give more detail of the history of the building. It has a nice cafe where we had tea and cake (very yummy) and a nice bookshop and gift shop where the prices were very reasonable. Nice relaxing day out for any country/history buffs.

Baddesley Clinton can easily be combined with a visit to Packwood House, which is close by. The views of the house across the moat are quite stuning. After a short talk we were left to wander around the house, which has an interesting selection of rooms. The gardens are well worth a visit as well. There is quite a large selection of second hand books around the entrance buildings.
