Had a memorable visit to Wollaton Hall but sadly found we were the victim of a smash and grab incident. Little window had been smashed, back seat pulled down, and wallet retrieved from our handbag which we thought was hidden in the boot. Moral of the story, keep your valuables with you, but still beware.
it was our first meeting with deer... so close for me it was amazing experience. close to nature, very silence.beautiful autumn
Events are always great and the grounds are perfect on a sunny day - cant wait for summer to arrive so more shows will be on soon.
this place is amazing. as simple as. there is plenty of other things to see and do for all age ranges and interests.parking is reasonable food is excellent (if a bit slow). we will be back.
Lovely park - loads of families there which is always great to see. We were there with our grown up kids to see the quidditch games and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The hall is beautiful although I wasn't too keen on the stuffed animals. We stopped in at the cafe for lunch and this was very nice, although a tad expensive, but considering that everything else was free, we didn't begrudge itWorth a visit when in Nottingham
Brilliant! Relaxinggg and nice walk.. Love the mansion, deer park and stuffs. But too much walking hahaha
Wollaton Hall has beautiful architecture and amazing grounds. Good for a Sunday walk or a visit with older children. There are deer which wander the grounds and are really beautiful to watch. The Splendour festival in July is amazing. Best little festival and suitable for all.
Loved visiting Wollaton Hall and Park, there is something special about being able to wander around with the deer so close to you. There are many quiet spots to relax and the lake is pleasant with many ducks to be fed.The Hall itself is fantastic being free of charge and it's great to soak up the history of the place and be given a sense of its past. It also feels much bigger than expected with rooms being utilised well and carefully maintained displays.NOT FOR THE ANIMAL LOVER as the interior is essentially a giant taxidermy studio, but if you are interested in animals, insects and minerals you can while away hours looking at the collections and appreciating how this links into the history of science and exploration undertaken by the Willoughbys.
One of my on the doorstep favourite places to visit. As a child this was where we went lived just off the ring road so would get the 53 bus with ya picnic 2 spend the day at woolie park.over the years had many happy time.from going lading with a gang of mates meeting up 2 chill out with my boyfriend then husband have had family party's in the park all playing football rounders etc.always nice to walk round the lake its such a lovey place 2 visit.have bin walking all over Derbyshire over the years.but if ya don't want 2 drive 2far then wollie park shouldn't be over looked
We went here at the weekend and had a lovely walk around Wollaton hall which had lots of activities for children. The whole park itself itself is massive. You can feed the ducks by the pond or take your child on their new adventure park which is great. With a little help our 2 year old loved it.
Good place to relax and hear the sound of nature while watching the reindeers !! Carefull tho they might get aggressive in mating season!!
The Hall looks great as you enter the park, unfortunately that's as good as good as it gets, such a great house is ruined by what can only be described as a pathetic museum, its a pity as the hall restored could be a great attraction. The Park would be great in summer for picnics.
Amazing house , free entry. Busy as it was half term. Extensive grounds which Im sure we will revisit in the summer months
