It is not something you go see, you can't help but see it. It is an integral part of the city. The city of Elvas is just packed with structures that you can´t miss: the forts, the ramparts, the acueduct. It all Works together to make a very inviting place to spend some time.

This attraction is one of the biggest of it's kind in Europe, therefore makes it worth to visit. Located in Elvas, Portugal (World Heritage Site) only a few miles distance from Spain.It's a cosy quiet and small City with many historical churches and fortifications to visit.

The word spectacular doesn't do the justification to describe the aqueducts at Elvas, Portugal. Enjoy a nice and peaceful walk along the aqueducts, they standout and you can see it from a distance. There is ample parking available adjacent to the structure. You can get a great view from Elvas castle.

Spectacular Renaissance (not Roman) Aqueduct that was built to take water to the fortified city of Elvas on the Portuguese Spanish border near Badajoz. It is several kilometres long and well worth walking the length of, unfortunately it is not possible to walk along the top of it.It can also be viewed from several vantage points on the ramparts that surround Elvas.

You can see the aquaduct from far away, it realy stands out. One of the best pictures is from the viewpoint in the city fortifications. You can't leave Elvas without a picture of this great structure!

This is a very nice and huge aqueduct in Elvas, it has no entrance fees and you will see it if you arrive from Lisboa. Ee arrived from the north (Portalegre) and stopped about 3 min before we arrived at the aqueduct, to get a nice view, and it is massive. There is also a huge place next to the aqueduct, where it is possible to park cars. I did not find an attraction review for this aqueduct, and I searched a lot of different names. Well worth a visit.

Aqueduto magestoso, antigo, monumental, com brazão da cidade de Elvas.Em termos estéticos, talvez por parecer sujo, não é muito apelativo.

A la entrada del pueblo, muy bien conservado. Al lado de la hermita. Habia puestos de agricultores vendiendo productos locales.

para ver o aqueduto tem muito que andar, estado de conservação em ótimo estado. desde 2012 classificado pela UNESCO como património Mundial. Maior aqueduto da Península ibérica.

Espetacular. Merece muitas fotos. Uma construção com muita historia que merece ser visitada e divulgada.

Este aqueduto liga a Amoreira a Elvas numa extensão de 8,5 Km. Tem 843 arcos e é o maior aqueduto da Peninsula Ibérica. A sua construção foi iniciada em 1537 no reinado de D João III e concluída em 1620-22. Desde 1910 é considerada Monumento Nacional e desde 2012 é classificado pela UNESCO como património mundial juntamento com o conjunto de fortuificações de Elvas. Dada a sua imponência domina a paisagem visual do visitante de Elvas

Já vale a visita à cidade de Elvas. Linda construção e bem conservada.Talvez falte um pouco de informação turística. Você precisa ir ao centro para conseguir alguma informação.

Aqueduto símbolo de Elvas, visível a alguma distância. Postal da zona, bom para fotografia. No entanto, não encontrei, nas redondezas, nenhuma informação histórica sobre o mesmo, talvez lhe falte isso, principalmente por causa do turismo.
