This park is absolutely beautiful! It's spacious and really well taken care of! We went for a few walks around it and the paths are well maintained. Attempted to fish in the catch and release pond but didn't seem to have much luck catching anything. A great place to hang out!
My family of 5 have lived in North Phoenix, close to Anthem since 2008 and always enjoy going to Anthem's community park. The north end playground has been re-designed and re-opened recently. Gone is the sand that caused everyone used to slip and fall on the slopey base. Now it's the rubbery cushy flat base. There's more climbing structures, which is amazing with all the liabilities that cause playgrounds to become bland. The park has a great Harvest Festival during Halloween. We always get our pumpkins from the tiny patch since it's for a good cause. You can even paint or put stickers on your pumpkin, which is provided for free with purchase of the pumpkin. This year there were more food vendors for a better variety. Live band, jump houses, and lots of art vendors. At the South end of the park is where they put the fair rides. Parking is tough during these events, but parking is available around the park and across the street at the Safeway plaza. Great event we look forward to every year. The lake is a catch and release lake. Fun for beginners. Lots of ducks to feed bread. Sidewalk goes around the lake and park so biking is fun for kids. There's a skate park for the grinders. There's basketball courts and soccer fields. Baseball and softball fields are used for leagues. My kids have played Litlle League Tee-Ball and Fast Pitch Softball.July 4th is big even here as well. Parking is crazy, but the event is fun and that's why so many people come from all over the valley. One last thing. Lots of grass. This is the best place to run around green grass. My kids love it.
Our first time at this park. It is clean, bright, family friendly. It has a lake, play area, fishing, swimming. It is kept really well. There was a train ride round the park the day that we visited and many children were having a great time. It felt a safe and friendly environment.
Great place for a stroll -- greenery, a small lake with waterfalls, and ducks. Kiddie park is a guaranteed winner with the pre-teen set.
It was a great place to sit or walk around since there's lots of grass, always something going on, and kids and families enjoying themselves. Ball games, swimming pool, duck pond, Sunday farmer's market, and evening concerts during the summer.
Anthem is a bedroom community. People come here for the quality of life. And this park examplafies that. It is a wonderful park. Not just some ball fields and a pool, but a wonderful splash area for little ones, two slides, a good gym/exercise area, and nice amenities. The park itself is expansive and a beautiful thing. Plus they use it for good events, like Anthem fall-fest, the Easter egg hunt, and Anthem days. Anthem truly is beautiful, and this park is one of the reasons.
My daughter and I love going to the catch and release pond for some quick fishing on the weekends - it does not even require a fishing license as it is not conidered a public waterway. Although we havn't caught anything yet, we have seen someone catch a decent sized catfish. The park also has paviliians you can rent for a family get together. I blieve you have to be a Anthem resident to use these facilities, but it is not like anyone has ever checked up on us before. Luckily we live here so it is ok if they do. The park is also home to the Anthem Farmers Market every sunday morning (except summer). There are always a wide variety of vendors and some good BBQ as well.
This is a delightful place to take the grandkids. Ours loved the train ride around the park and watching ducks in pond. It's a perfect place to take a picnic lunch to enjoy the beauty of the area! There is a minimal fee for the train ride, but it is definitely worth it to see the smiles on little faces!
Lake, mini railroad, fields, playgrounds and immaculately maintained. A great place to spend and afternoon with the family and friends.
Recently we rented a home in anthem az with family and a young grandson. We visited this park and found it truly amazing and so beautiful. The entire complex was clean and very safe and kid friendly! Even a train that takes you around the entire complex was fun for us all. Sort of a fairy tale feeling...if your ever there it's very worth the visit even if you don't have a little one with you!The park is free but there is a charge of 3 for the train ride and 50cents more if u are a non resident....
Enjoyed playing on their tennis courts for a latest tournament. Good clean surfaces. Nice stadium court. Wished there was water on the courts.
I live in Anthem and the park is technically for residents only. This is a wonderful place to ride the train, fish, play on the playground and have a birthday party. Many things to do and always a big hit with the whole family.
This is our first time wintering in Arizona and we utilize this Park daily to walk our dog. Trails are wide and get you all over easily. Grass and water features fantasic. What an asset to Anthem. Outdoor sports of all kinds, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, public washrooms and have a minature train on weekends for smaller kids. They even offer outdoor open-air picnic locations with BBQ's. I will most certainly bring ideas back and pass them on to my community. Great for all ages.
Our Community Park has everythng-- from fishing to baseball to training to a train. Come out and stroll, have a picnic or a barbecue, meet you friends for morning coffee clotch and or just attend one of the events that is always on tap. This is one of the attractions that makes Anthem a great place to live and sets it apart from other communitites.
The train, the great playground, picnic areas, volleyball courts. All around a wonderful family place!
