First off it's somewhat remote, go anyway. This course is in its early stage of development and therefore has no houses around it to ruin the great views. Great greens and fairways. Putts are fast and true but not easy to read. Lots of bunkers in play so sand shots are common. Found layout similar to WeKoPa but more forgiving. But shot placement is critical for scoring. Really liked this course but the clubhouse is pretty plain. Great practice area though to get ready for your round. I will play this one again.

Very challenging, but very fun golf course. A serious desert course. In beautiful shape and great to play. At the moment, n to surrounded by houses, but likely to change. Good value and good service. Played here years ago when it was called Vista Verde. Will play here again.

Tough course, Hard to land the greens, cart paths come and go, Port-a-potties are a HUGE turn off. The course has been sold and expect they will be investing a lot to bring it up to shape.

This is a young course and played like it. Some holes difficult. We felt it was expensive for the price and services. They do provide complimentary bottled water.

Nice golf course, challenging, fair, and great scenery. My favorite hole is the occasionally drivable part 4 7th. Been here about a 6 rounds now. Never dissapoints. Short game area shold be finished in a couple months. One of the best values in the northeast area for a course of this quality.

This course is quite a bit northeast of Phoenix in what some locals call North Scottsdale. I played last Saturday. The course was well maintained and in terrific shape. Beautiful views too. I liked the layout - challenging yet not too challenging. It can play fairly tight off several of the tees so some golfers may want to consider dropping down a club on some holes to avoid the desert. The staff was friendly and very helpful. There are a few things they need to work on. They need to complete the cart paths between some holes. The practice green was closed for some work but it should reopen soon. The rental clubs were high quality, but the irons were 6-10 only with no sand wedge. They included a hybrid, but I don't care for hybrids and it didn't work for me. At a high quality course like this they should at least have 4-10. Overall, I enjoyed my round and would play there again.

Visa Verde was recently re-branded as the Tegavah Golf Club. The course is in a beautiful setting in the Mid-Sonoran desert near Rio Verde, AZ. The course offers some interesting challenges, yet is not unduly difficult. There are very few homes built around the course at this time, hence has the feel of a links style course. Overall, the course is in great shape. The club itself appears to be in temporary quarters, and offers few amenities. Little should be expected from the staff in the way of service. This is especially true of the course Marshall, who in our case proved to be about as useful as tits on a bull moose.Visited November 2014

Completely newly styled golf course. Out in nowhere country, no houses around, just you on the golf course. All the holes for not interfere with each other. A perfect setting for desert golf. An extremely friendly and helpful staff takes care of you throughout your play.Play from the gold tees, not the black tees and stay away from the champion tees. It still plays very long and the holes are very well defended by all sorts of mayhem for the recreational golfer. See it as a challenge and celebrate every par you make. As a rule all greens lean towards the river in the east of the course, just allow for this break to overcome you desperation. A course that tests the golfer's most important traits: patience and humbleness. There is no real clubhouse but they will fix you up with a sandwich or a hot dog and some cold beer, even outside in comfortable lounge chairs.I'll visit again next year when I return to Phoenix.
