For a late night meal it was convenient and was not able to gamble but the action seemed to be on going
I had never been to this casino before and I enjoyed it. We decided to have dinner there and spent a small fortune for the buffet. I would go again but would definitely find different dining options!
The Rivers Casino is near Chicago IL and close to O'Hare International Airport. On my first visit to Rivers on a weekday afternoon, I found the casino to be busy, but far from crowded. There were plenty of table games (Blackjack, Craps, etc.) with $10 minimum bets. Late night and weekend visitors will likely see mostly $25 minimums. The slot machines are plentiful and do not make the loud noises like slot machines in Vegas. While convenient, the Rivers Casino lacks the ambiance of places like the Bellagio or the Wynn. Security is excellent and the staff are very helpful, well trained, and patient with newbies. If you don't mind gambling in a building which reminds you of a closed Walmart, this may be the place for you. Try hard to visit during week days. Enjoy.
Why no poker room at Rivers Casino ? . I live in approximately five minutes away from Rivers Casino lots of friends and family and myself Drive all the way to the Horshoe casino in Indiana play poker it would be nice to have a poker room at the rivers and not have to drive so far The truth is most of my friends in the poker room in Indiana all live near the rivers casino hopefully there will be a poker room at the risk casino One day
I was able to sample the Grand View Buffet and the SteakHouse and while the Steakhouse was excellent, the prices there were a little bit on the high side for a Casino. You would expect because of the gaming facility, that the food would be a little more economically priced.Bar service at the SteakHouse was excellent. The Grand View Buffet was ok. Nothing to write home about. Service was above average but it felt like I was being rushed - maybe I wasn't but it just felt that way. Dessert choices were phenomenal. I tried a couple and they were disappointing....a little too commercial
What a fun place with close parking, amazing restaurants and bars!! Great place to go with friends for you can play different games and meet each other after for food and drinks. They also caterto handicap patrons which we needed with our group! Beautifully decorated, clean and great people watching Ha!
Rivers has a nice central bar and a clean, festive atmosphere. Nice dining selections (Hugo's, Flipt, Asian, Deli) and nice people watching.
We were up in Chicago staying in Hotel for the weekend, and went to the casino for some Saturday night fun! Man, their table minimums were $25.00! They do have a very nice bar area in the middle of the casino, their was a female dj mixing up some tunes, it was pretty cool! They do have lots of slots to choose from.
The place is beautiful and well planned. The food at Hugo's and Flip It were both good with Hugo's being a nice place for a special meal. The gambling is another story. I don't know anyone who did well and we certainly didn't. Very tight machines. The logistics are nice with the parking garage being well laid out and the lights above each space made it easy to find an empty spot. It was a nice outing if you go no great expectations to win.
Good parking and nice facility! The location is great, close to O'Hare. The dinner buffet was great when I visited with friends! I will return!
I have a minimal set spend on the pokies as the Casino always wins - so went to Rivers for the restaurant food and atmosphere ! Good range of choices and prices, starting with Flipz burgers. Could sit and watch the large screen sport relaxing with a drink, as well ! Staff were helpful as I had some questions as an overseas visitor. I'll be back this year.
Is a new casino for the area. Its up dated and the staff is very friendly and helpful.. Almost did not go here because of several reviews saying how awful the staff was and how tight the slots are. I play all over and prefer not to try to make money gambling. This can sway you outlook on the people working there..This is strictly for fun and I don't get angry drunk, this can also sway the way that the staff treats you..There is no smoking here which is a plus for me and a glass of wine was $5.50...Okay, its Chicago...Had fun and did not notice the slots being tight. Lost a bit , but still was a great evening, and had no problem with cashing my tickets..
Stayed and played for about 2 hours and lost every cent. Didn't see many people winning at all. The burger and hot dog in Flipz was very good. Most slots are 2cent denomination, so max bets are pretty high.
I stopped at the noddles restaurant and the food was excellent. Atmosphere is nice but there are only a few tables and its a little crowded at lunch time. But the PHO Vietnamese Soup that I had was superb.Casino was fun too but lost money this time out. Lot's of slot machines and most are brand new with all the bells and whistles.I look forward to another trip to Rivers Casino.
Played here often, staffs are okay, some supervisors are not, they think they own the casino,Table games are okay but limited. There's only 1 Pai Gao table, 1 Carribean, 2 Texas Hold 'em, 2 Three card poker, some baccarat, and a lot of blackjacks that minimum bets are too high for someone to comes in just to enjoy the game. They should put more $15 blackjack so more people can play.Bathrooms are super clean, Restaurants are okay. I love to come here because of the no smoking policy, (there's a smoking area at the side that you need to go out of the playing area).Over all, pretty nice place to unwind after a days work...
