Wow! What a surprise! Navarre is a HUGE, deep, stunning beach with emerald and turquoise water. There are several small parking lots near the the public access areas. There are only highrises on the end of the beach closest the pier. Near the pier are the largest beaches with sand volleyball courts and bathrooms. Even during the second week of March we got 2 days of sun! We had to position ourselves near the walkway to block the wind, but then the low 70's sun was delicious.
Navarre Beach was so beautiful & peaceful that we went back a 2nd day! The sand is the whitest I've ever seen & the seagulls are always glad to see you! :)
I want to amend a previous review....Navarre and Navarre Beach are the best!Having lived there for 10 years (and I still have a home there) I can tell you, this is onewell kept secret in Florida! The most beautiful beachescleanest watergreat places to eatGo to Tops....the hamburgers are great...Visit TCs...a great place, try the cheeseburgers or be brave and go for a petty melt....the best!Go to Vinnie R for some of the best pizza....we would get it and go to the park in Navarre for a sound side dining experience.....
Navarre Beach is pristinely clean. It's a small town with many bigger town amenities. Close to Pensacola,Pensacola Beach and Destin. It is the go to destination for families travling with children.
This is a great little beach with big city condos. Island is clean and thr drive toward Pensacola state park is pretty. Great paths to bike or hike. It's truly a jewel.
We beach vacation almost every year and Navarre Beach is as nice as it gets. In four years when I retire we plan to live there full time. Nice, quiet, family beach. The water is perfect. Stay here and relax go to Destin, Fort Walton or Pensacola to shop, party and mingle with the crowd. Pier is great and the pearl is a nice place to stay.
This beach is one of the best in the USA! Why people fly elsewhere, who knows, as Navarre Beach is perfect! Shells aren't always obvious but wash up in the water &/ or tucked in the sand on the hill facing the ocean! People are allowed to fish from the beach, too. The beach is definitely not busy & perfect for walks, picnics, & just enjoying the sun! Signs are up informing visitors to not disturb the sand dunes & turtles which is important. Only cons, which someone should be aware of is that there can be jellyfish that are transparent & dangerous, so wear sandals! But my family has enjoyed this beach for yrs, coming from New England, it's a great place to enjoy!
I almost hate to give the secret away but I visit at least once a year. The water is beautiful and if you time your visit right, you can have the beach to yourself.
Florida's best kept secret for those who want a quiet vacation--no huge night life scene better suited to those over 50!
Navarre Beach is a quiet, family place to visit. Not a huge night life scene, so less singles and craziness. Decent restaurants, but not much else to distract from the lovely environment. That being said, it's a short distance to movies, malls, etc. if you need a distraction. I live here and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
I actually live in Navarre. I married my husband there. You will never see a beach as pristine as ours. Depending on what time a year you visit, you'll also see our emerald Gulf, lights dancing along its water. The biggest bonus? Our beaches are not as heavily populated as some of the other beaches in our area. Come visit, you won't regret it!
This is a great vacation get away. There are miles of beautiful white beaches, great surf fishing and the longest fishing pier on the Gulf of Mexico. Try the Sailor's Grill for Breakfast
If you are looking for peace, Great fishing and wonderful beaches Navarre Beach is your place!! Not as crowed as Destin, You really feel away from it all!
If you would like to find a nice quiet place for family vacations this is the spot. Spring is not crowded so you can keep a close eye on your children.
The beach, the longest pier on the Gulf, the intercoastal waterway. It is all lovely. What more can one say?
