The staff was accommodating and the course was fantastic. Challenging layout. We played a replay round of 9 holes with no problem. Carts are like new. Excellent place to test your game

Just got back from a recent golf trip to the southeast Florida region. I've come to learn that there is a WIDE caliber of golf courses out there and that lots of courses are less than forthcoming about the conditions of their courses on their websites. I’ve also been shocked and surprised at the inaccuracies of some of the reviews I’ve read on sites like Golfnow that I relied upon to make my selections on courses to golf at. With that preamble, I can assure readers that this review is an absolute accurate representation of what to expect at this course. I’ve given this course (Cypress) two stars to reflect what I think is a stellar layout. I can see at one point how this course could have easily hosted The Honda Classic qualifier. Imaginative holes that require challenging tee placements and precision approach shots. BUT, it is equally obvious that the course hasn’t and couldn’t host any sort of tournament (not even a corporate scramble) these days and they need to stop using that marketing on their website. It was in horrific condition. The tee boxes look like they hadn’t been cut in weeks and the greens were equally as long and was luck putting on Velcro. The clubhouse hasn’t had a thing done to it since it was built and in walking through it reminded me of the Outlook hotel from The Shining...downright spooky. Basically it felt to me like this course was 2 weeks from shutting down and declaring bankruptcy. We teed off very early in the morning and there wasn’t even coffee available anywhere. While the price was relatively inexpensive, there simply wasn’t value for the money given the conditioning of the course. Find a different place to play.

Recently had a sales conference in Ft. Lauderdale. A local resident suggested that the group golf at Woodmont Country Club. The staff was very professional, the course was in great shape and the greens were exceptional. At my next convention we will definitely return for another round. I recommend it highly.

PGA Pros gave us golf lessons. We practiced on the driving range, putting green, and chipping greens. We then played three holes. We will definitely be back and make golf our new sport. The kids took tennis lessons while we practiced our golf. Although the club house is old, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our lunch was simple but the burgers and hot dogs were enjoyed by all. We were told that this course is over 30 years old which accounts for the mature trees surrounding the golf holes. This made us feel like we were on a Northern Course like we see on TV. It was a very enjoyable day. We would definitely recommend this course to experienced golfers as well as the nubees.
