The service, staff, and activities were top notch. It is well worth the price and included breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, and adult beverages. The service and staff were five star. I would recommend for families, couples, and friends. Had a memorable experience and I am looking forward to returning in the future.
We visited Discovery Cove with four adults and three children, ages 7, 8, and 10, and included the dolphin swim package. We arrived early; check-in begins at 7:15AM, and our arrival at that time allowed us the first dolphin swim of the day at 8:30AM. Overall, our trip here was fabulous. There are saltwater pools with fish to swim amongst, such as rays and tangs. The dolphin pools are next. Then, there are the warm fresh water pools. There is one with a circular path to swim that goes through the bird sanctuary areas where you can feed birds. One has seats to recline in the shallow water. In another, you can visit marmosets and otters. All around these pools are chairs and tiki bars, where all drinks and snacks are included in your ticket price. The dolphin experience was about 30 minutes, with a video and instruction period prior to the experience. You get to touch, interact with, and ride the dolphin in either shallow or deep water. The videos and photos for this are professionally done, but rather expensive.Lunch and breakfast are served in the dining area. The staff is very polite and welcoming and they go a long way to make sure that the park is clean, even going as far as constantly sweeping the sand from the paths periodically. This really was the highlight of our vacation!
A beach away from the beach. All inclusive place with additional options. We did swim with the dolphins, had a great times. Our children 7 and 10 were very happy. Snorkeling on The Grand Reef and going down the Lazy River were our favorites after the dolphin encounter. Will go back and recommend even if a bit expensive.
This place is very expensive but I think well worth it for some families. I'm not sure that toddlers or the very elderly would get as much out of this park as kids, teens and and adults. However they do provide wheelchairs specifically to ride in the sand. Although there is plenty to do, it is not a "rushed" experience. It's kind of a lazy day and we felt safe enough to let the kids (not toddlers) safely and freely roam the park. *Everyone must wear a wetsuit, or a vest (same wetsuit material) to go in the water.*Breakfast and lunch is included, along with snacks, drinks and alcohol all day.*Water (that does not have animals in it) is heated so it was no problem when we went on a cold day. *You have to pay extra for the dolphin experience. We did not do it but climbed on the nearby rocks to witness it. We were about 15 feet away which was good enough for me. I didn't need to pet the dolphins. *They provide towels, snorkels, sunscreen, showers, changing rooms all free of charge. I have been to Discovery Cove on a hot, crowded day, and a chilly uncrowded day and both visits were great. The upfront price was expensive but mostly everything is included, even parking. I could pay less at another park but have to pay extra for everything all day long. This park does close a lot earlier than others.
We loved swimming with the dolphins. It was amazing from start to finish. The trainers were fantastic and we learned many educational facts. It was 30 minutes and you learn the hand signals the trainers use to signal the dolphins. You get to kiss the dolphin and take a ride holding on to the dorsal fin. The water is cold but you wear a wet suit and soon forgot how cold it is.The grounds were pristine. The food was very good. You can float down a warm water river with amazing views of wildlife including marmoset monkeys and otters. Or you could be in cold salt water with tropical fish and rays, snorkeling around a reef. The aviary was amazing too. You can get a cup of food and the birds land right on your hand and eat out of the cup. Everything is all inclusive at Discovery Cove which is very nice. You only need to bring yourself, a swimsuit, and water shoes are nice to have too.
You couldnt not be happy here, i think everything about this place is perfect, wonderful staff, wonderful activities, wonderful food, what more can you ask?
What a great day. Our family met a dolphin up close and personally, we floated along warm water streams, and snorkeled with tropical fish. I think we all enjoyed the snorkeling the most - we went more than once. My daughter and I really enjoyed the aviary where birds landed right on our hands to eat the food provided by the staff. It was a chilly day - the high was 60 - but with the wetsuits it was still very enjoyable. It was negative 20 at home, so we concentrated on that. It was great to be able to sit in a warm pool of water enjoying a glass of wine (or beer, or slushie for the kids). The unlimited food and drinks were very good. For an overall Florida experience, Discovery Cove is the best.
My kids have been dreaming of swimming with dolphin, and I finally made their dream come true! Arrived and checked in, and soon after we are swimming with dolphins! It was only 30 minutes, but enough to leave lasting memories. Highly recommend!
This place is wonderful and peaceful. The highlight was swimming with the Dolphins. Going to the Aviary was so cool. I have pics of birds eating while landing on our arms and my husband's head. Parrots are in their natural habitat. You can swim and snorkel to your hearts content. We saw many large tropical fish and rays. The water is a comfortable temperature. The food was pretty good. Don't eat breakfast or lunch before you go because it's all included. The wonderful thing about this place is that they only allow in 1300 (I think) people. You never feel like the place is too crowded.
