st. augustine beach

This beach is wide and very clean. A good portion of it is free from vehicles ... hooray!! There are numerous public access points with limited parking, and public restrooms. We were there several times, and saw people of all ages enjoying this lovely beach.

Miles of beautiful beach! Perfect for families, and long walks. Fun beach community. Perfect escape from the winter blues in New England. Can't wait to visit again!

It was a windy chilly day but we had to go to the beach since we had traveled that far. Nice facilities. Beach was clean. More shells on the beach then we are used to in Maryland.

Beach was only busy in spots but it was a beautiful, clean beach. Day was hot and sunny and we loved it.

A splash pad with shaded seating that never seems too crowded, a spacious beach and a cute pier that's only $1 to walk on. The bathrooms could be cleaner when it gets busy but that's the only complaint i have. Also if you go on weds there's a craft fair/farmers market in the parking lot, parking can be tricky but fun to walk around.

Good place to surf or be social, we like to hit it up for hanging out and when the surf is good. It is a good place to people watch and catch some rays.

The course sand it different. The waves are high. Worth a trip to see. The light house is on the way to the Beach area.

Visited one day to show our son where his grandma grew up and I spent my summers growing up. Took a Trolley tour which was fun and informative. Hate all the traffic especially on Ponce de Leon Blvd and making u turns to get anywhere but overall it was a good experience to visit the old homestead!

Great beach with white sand and dunes everywhere. Classic florida style beach, not overaly busy and no high rises. Great restaurants to be found. Old town charm, with Outlet shopping on I-95. This place has everything. Will not disappoint. Water was a little cool in Febuary, but nice walking in knee high.........

Had a wonderful time shopping and enjoying trying new food. I don't think there was anything we didn't enjoy while we were there. The outlet mall was great

St. Augustine Beach is just the best. It's not full of high rise condos, it's more old Florida, the beach itself is very wide, the sand is gorgeous white, dogs are welcomed on the beach. What more can I say? We love to walk our dogs on this beach. That is one of the main reasons we love this beach. The other reason is that the beach is wide and the sand flat and hard packed enough that we can walk for miles, literally miles. Clean white sand and you can even drive on the beach, The water in February is only about 60 degrees but it was still just nice to see the ocean

A great beach, not too busy, but great sun, shell hunting and nice waves. The walk from St.Augustine over the intercoastal is a great precursor to a relaxing sit on the beach.

Enjoyed my couple days here, did the ghost tours, as well as the fort and was neat to see the horsehoe crabs... definintely a recommend if driving thru florida..

This wide beach has potential not achieved. The relaxed rules which make it extra enjoyable for owners of large vehicles are the very factors altering this landscape in initially subtle but very damaging ways. Motorized vehicular traffic on beaches is a worldwide controversy, but, unfortunately, scientists are not being heard everywhere.Sand impaction, dune erosion, increased littering which pollutes the ocean, proliferation of invasive plant species, and disturbance of shorebirds are just a few of the problems created by motorized vehicles on the beach.Put the environment above convenience and restore this wonderful treasure to its deserved status as a truly great beach!
