What a terrific park this is. Something for everyone. Love to take my grandchildren to the playground. My favorite place to walk the trail in the morning with the cyclists, joggers and others who love and appreciate this remarkable place.

Monday through Friday you don't have to pay to go in, unless it is a Holiday. Beautiful park with lots of activities. Very clean. We go walking around the park and the Lake almost every day. Pet friendly.

Thanks for the great comments Susan! We value your business and appreciate that everyone enjoys it so much here! All the staff here love the park and try their best to ensure everyone has a great experience. You're not the first one to mention signage. All our signs have international symbols (picture of an RV) and directional arrows. I'm wondering what else might be needed? If you have any suggestions, please let us know! Thanks!

Thank you for your review! We always appreciate comments and suggestions for improvement. I am truly sorry about the trains, that is a challenge that would be hard to change. I wanted to let you know that we are looking into getting some solar lighting to illuminate our directional signage. This should help campers who arrive after dark. We also have overnight security that carries a cell phone. The phone number is posted at the entrance gate and they can be called to assist campers with check-in and escort RV's to their designated site. You are correct that our entrance side gate is closed at park closing time but the exit side gate is left open until 12:00 am. I hope this information helps, and maybe in the future you will give us another try! Have a great day!

Our friends told us about this park and glad they did. Yes there is a train next door but I have stayed at a lot of RV parks that have trains next door. The trade offs of having a nice park to be in are enough. It's clean and everybody is friendly. We even left the RV there when we went to panama for 17 days. I would come here again.

It does get pretty loud with highway noise and trains but you get used to it. We had to put on a loud fan to try to drown out the noise when sleeping. Not good tent camping due to noise and no shade. We camped in an rv. The park itself is great for walking and bike riding. The castaway island water park is really only good for little kids, unless you just want to hang out in their pool. The campground had a banner up advertising a special of $30 a night with free castaway island entrance included starting May 1st. The campground is only 15 minutes from the beach and Hollywood Broadwalk (a really nice boardwalk along the beach with lots of restaurants, bars, stores and ice cream shops) and it was nice to be close to the interstate to quickly get to other parts of Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Just minutes away is the Seminole Hard Rock hotel and casino with lots of musical and other events. West Lake Park is 10 minutes away with lots of trails, a $5 boat ride, nature center and observation tower to climb. Due to the sewer hook up being at the end of the campsite instead of the side we had to go to the local rv dealership (just 10 minutes away) to get a sewer hose extension 25 foot of sewer hose in total and still had to park at the end of the campsite. I wouldn't camp there just for the campground but it is a great campground for exploring the nearby area and cities.

the sites have no shade, so bring your own. The rest rooms and showers are indeed very clean and nice, but the road noise from I-95 and Sheridan Street are incredible and the railroad goes by until late at night and starts early in the morning. I am talking ground rumbling, bell ringing, whistle blowing stay awakes and wake ups. Never again!

We really like Topeekeegee Yugnee park. The name actually means "gathering place" (or something like that!) The park is huge and there are a lot of things to do. We camped at the RV park and our only complaint is that there are NO signs at the entrance to the park to tell you where to go. When you are driving a 35' RV and towing a car you don't want to end up in an area where you can't get out easily. Other RV'ers complained about the same thing. If you visit or plan to camp at the park, you have to follow the road to the left to get to the RV park. The park office is to the left and you will need to stop to get registered and sign in. They will give you a map and tell you where to go. Be warned - they will deny there are no directional signs for RV's!Other than that, it is a great park.

My wife and I have been camping at state and local parks so we were not expecting much other than a place to park our RV here while visiting family. Truth be told, we've been here almost 2 weeks now and we've hardly left the park because we love it so much. It's beauty is diverse, as are its offerings. The water park is currently closed but the numerous paved paths provide for really nice walks, runs, and bike rides alongside the gorgeous lake, under the canopies of beautiful live oaks, to tennis and volleyball courts, an outdoor resistance fitness area, agazebo, etc. Everything, most importantly the bath house and restrooms, are well appointed and kept very clean. Although not yet mature, the landscaping in the RV camping area is beautifully done and well maintained. The hookups are the nicest I've seen in our nearly three months of cross country RVing and the pads are perfectly level and have ample room for parking toys. The staff is incredibly professional and attentive yet totally unobtrusive. There appear to be many community activities happening here but the camping area was thoughtfully planned away from high traffic areas of the park. Also, its close to Tarks, a great hole in the wall seafood joint. We will return here and look back fondly on our stay.

This park was a great surprise. We stayed here 7 nights in a 35' 5th wheel travel trailer May 2013 while visiting relatives who live in Fort Lauderdale. The RV section is located in the very back of the park. The bathrooms and showers were spotless. The RV sites are long and spacious with plenty of pull-throughs. The park itself is well maintained and has a small lake, a very nice paved walking or biking trail, a water park, tennis courts and lush green grounds, complete with wild parrots. You are a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Hollywood beach and shops, or 20 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale Beaches. The only downside was the occasional very loud commuter train that passes by the perimeter of the RV section of the park -- especially during rush hour. Another heads-up ... make sure you have at least 30'- 40' of sewer hose for your RV if you want to hook up. The drive-through sites are long, and to position your trailer optimally, you will need at least that much hose to reach the sewer connection which is located at the very end of most of the sites. I needed every inch of 40' of hose, and that was stretching it to the limit. In my 20+ years of trailer camping I have never needed that much sewer hose. The local RV sales center said they sell lots of RV hose extensions to all the unsuspecting TY Park campers.
