It's falling apart . . . A disgrace to the town. It's not the world's largest basket! It's an eyesore. It needs a chainsaw taken to it and put in a pile to be burned for a town wiener roast. Or properly repair the ugly reminder. Dave won't be mad. If he were alive he'd never stand for it to look the way it is with his name on it.
The HQ building is much more impressive. If you love baskets you might like this, but it's just a basket. A lot of basket shops in this area, so it makes sense because of Longaberger and historical references. You should be able to enter this basket. Did look like it's handles need a renovation.
Huge basket, not sure the materials, but woven to look like the small ones. The basket is typical of the Longerberger market basket and is a giant reproduction
The basket is very unique. It is time though to renovate it. It needs to be maintained. It is in the central part of the city and very picturesque
This is in my home town of Dresden. The town came to life when Dave Longaberger put it on the map with his Basket making plant. This basket was made with same materials they use in crafting the regular size baskets. So if you're in or passing by it's at least worth the stop for a picture. There is a small restaurant across the street plus lots of small unique shops along the main St. if you like baskets you'll have the opportunity to purchase them here. Enjoy!
It was a beautiful place with great breakfast and the scenery was beautiful. We liked the drive to the property since we drove to get there. The back part of the building has a great place for big parties.
IT's just a huge basket. More fun are the many basket shops in this little town. You will buy baskets, whether you plan to or not.
If you love baskets, definitely a must see. Stopped in Dresden to shop for basket accessories and Longaberger.
Hard to believe it is real, but it is. There were many people using it as the background for photos. One couple getting married posed in their wedding clothes.
The town of Dresden is very nice with lots of shopping and oh yes,a large basket. Nice to see once but certainly not worth coming to Dresden for that only. It is what it is,take a few pictures and move on.
We took a photo in front of the World's largest basket. It was interesting for a moment. We did not visit Longaberger.
The place is not great but a decent thing to come and see I always come and see it and Dresden is a cute little town with tons of shopping
You can see this building from various driving points...really neat landmark. Didn't get a chance to go inside but definitely will try on my next visit.
Overall it felt like a good event this year and ran smoothly and it was not crowded. They did change locations of several events due to rain and originally renamed some locations so that was a little confusing.
We visited the Longaberger Homestead and this was just a few miles away the basket was nice area around it was a little overgrown. But the real jewel was the town the people were so nice and very friendly little shops had eveything you could want.
